Chapter Eighteen

Karim's POV:

Although I didn't know Christian that well, I could tell he truly cares about Anna which is obviously a good thing. I mean, that's what you need in a relationship. Finally, Patty is back to his old happy and cheerful self as he was down a number of days go. Maybe because he told Anna the rumour about Christian - I don't believe it! Christian is not like that; I know him well enough to know that! Saying that, why would Patty tell her the rumour if it's not believable. I don't know. It's confusing.

Straightening my hat, I walked into Jason and Patty's house as usual and headed straight to the kitchen.

"Hey dudes" I half shouted as Emma and Luke stood in the games room holding drinks and playing pool or snooker or whatever it's even called. Joining them after i grabbed a drink, I sat on one of the wooden chairs watching them finish the game. Luke won which Emma was really not happy with.

"Oh, it's on Luke!" She shouted, "when I get back next week, we will battle until the end"

"Ha, good luck with that" Luke responded. Big kids! I don't think we will ever grow up - myself included!

"Alrightly, I will take you to the airport before a fight breaks out" Patty teases while winking as he walks into the room throwing his car keys into the air and catching them. Emma hugs us all goodbye and leaves.

"Karim" Luke nods randomly to me.

"Luke" I did the same trying not to laugh. God, I love him - as a friend - he is so random and hilarious but also a great friend to talk to if you are feeling down. "Lukey Luke Luke" I spoke as he pulled a funny face.

"What do you think about Christian dating Anna?" Luke asked as we sat next to each other on the sofa flicking through the music channels on the TV.

"Erm" I thought about it "I'm happy for them. Especially Anna. She really deserves it." She really does. She talks to myself and Patty so I know some things what Anna had been through.

"Good. I'm happy for Christian my little fairy vegan" Luke joked. He often called Christian that as a joke, even to his face so it was okay. Laughing, I couldn't help but worry about Anna. I know she would be great with Christian, I trust him of course but i still worry.

"Yeah. They are great"

"Is it hard for you Karim?"

"Whatya mean?"

"You fancied her you did" Luke mentioned. It was true, I did like her. I still do...

"Oh... Well... I'm glad she's happy. That's all that matters"

"Yeah. Happ-happ-happy" Luke yelled. See, he pulls me up and sorts me out. I love him. I chuckled at the thought. "I kinda understand why you like her. She's lovely"

"Back off bitch" I giggled, "she's mine"

"Oohh sass queen over here!"

Standing up, I pranced round like a queen as well as acting like a stereotypical homosexual which made Luke bend over double laughing. This is how we carry on.

As the front door shut, Christian walked into the room and sat on top of us both. Giggling, he got up and sat on a seat of his own.

"So guys, what have you been talking about?" He asked, sorting his hair out. Luke and I exchanged a panicking expression.

"Erm.." I started.

"Just stuff" Luke finished.

"Where's Anna?" I changed the subject quickly.

"Upstairs sleeping"

"Ssshhh" Our ginger friend whispered, pressing his finger to his lips.

"Is she okay?" I asked with it only being half ten at night.

"Yeah, just tired" he replied and I nodded back.

"You two are so cute together" Luke said to him, which hurt me slightly. I always wished someone who say that about me and Anna. No Karim. Stop. It's Christian and Anna. You had your chance and you ruined it.

"You are"

"I'm glad I can make her happy. She didn't appear it before"

"Bullshit" i raised my voice unintentionally. I shouted it as 'word vomit' like in Mean Girls.

"What?"

"I'm sorry, it just came out" I pussyed out "it's just that she was happy beforehand. Everyone has their days ya know"

"You obviously don't know her then" Christian spoke solemnly.

"Actually I do and I have much longer than you" I replied. I didn't want to fight.

"Come on guys settle do-"

"Sure" Christian said sarcastically "but remember that I love her and she likes me"

"I'm sorry" I spoke sincerely

"Same. I apologise"

"Phew" Luke breathed

"I know. Just. Just" I stuttered. I didn't know what was happening - it was like I had no control over my mouth "I liked Anna"

Oh my God Karim you fucking fool. Why did you admit that the person who is dating Anna? You idiot! God dammit!

"Oh that's how it is!" Christian spoke up.

"I did. I did" I repeated. "Look... I am happy for you both. I just wanted you to know. I'm sorry" i stood up and left the room.

You fucking idiot Karim I whispered to myself as I wiped a stray tear away.
