Chapter Twenty One

Anna POV

"Bye Patty" I bawled, holding onto my best friend - in the middle of the airport - as if it was the end of the world. "I'm going to miss you so freaking much"

"I will miss you too" he sniffled "Hey, it will be okay, I will be there for Christmas. Time will fly Anna. Before you know it, we will be together again" he comforted me as I cried into his shoulder.

"You're right" I gave him a final squeeze before slowly pulling away to see his red eyes and tear-stained face.

"Come here love" Christian spoke as he wrapped his strong arm around my waist and pulled me into his warm body.

"Bye guys" Patty spoke and wandered out of the airport. Wiping my eyes, I turned to Christian who had a sympathetic facial expression.

"It'll be okay" he ensured and pulled me into a big hug. "Come on, we need to catch our flights." Nodding, we jumped onto our penny boards and skated through the airport. Eventually, we found my gate as my plane takes off an hour before Christian's.

"Here we are" he sighed.

"Yeah" the tears threatened to fall again.

"It will be okay. We will keep in touch and we will still see each other. We will just be in a long-distance relationship"

"Don't leave me"

"I will never leave you, we will merely have miles between us, that's all" Christian comforted me as I snuggles into his manly chest. "I love you Anna"

"love you too Christian" I cried. Kissing each other passionately, the person on the speaker interrupted us by announcing my departure. It was true what people say, airports see more sincere kisses than weddings and hospitals hear more sincere prayers than churches.

"Bye baby" he sniffled.

"Bye" I whimpered.

Picking up my penny board, I slipped it into my backpack and nervously stepped towards the gate. Passing my passport over, I took one final look back to Christian who was stood in the same spot crying. I felt so terrible, i had made him cry. Grabbing my identification, I half-smiled before climbing onboard the plane. Finding my seat, I pulled my knees into my chest and laid my head onto the window staring out blankly through my watery eyes.

These next few months are going to be horrible and painful.
