"Hey Dj, I haven't seem you in a while. How are things going?" Kate, my therapist, asked.

"It's going pretty good I guess." I said

"Uh oh, what's going on?" She questioned.

"Well nothing really except I wanna ask take my relationship to the next level but I don't wanna scare her off."

Kate had known I was gay. She had been the one that had stuck by me through it all. Kate was more like my mother than my therapist, since my parents were well you know, dead. It not like I had anyone else besides her and Autumn.

"Well how long have you two been together?" Kate asked

"Oh maybe 3 weeks but we just became official, but I know there is a connection between us that no one can break Kate, it's like someone brought her into my life to save me from myself. She's amazing!" I said

"She may be amazing to you Dj but what about your dream?"

Shit. I had totally forgot about my dream that had come true only a month ago. I had applied to go into the army, and had gotten accepted, I had forgot to even mention it to Autumn.

"Well I guess this has became a bigger issue that first expected. What am I gonna do about basics? How an i gonna juggle a girlfriend and all that comes with basic training? I need advice please help me" I said to Kate.

"Well first of all you need to see how Autumn feels about you going into the army. Do you want me to get her in here?" She asked

"Will you stay in here while I tell her what's going on?" I asked concerned.

"Of course!!" She said as she exited the room to go call Autumn to the room.

I sat in the chair in the office all alone, I had been in here so many times the room had become so familiar that I could tell you where everything went if you were to tear it apart and tell me to put it back together. About five minutes passed and then the door that was behind me creek open and I heard Kate's soft voice,

"Are you ready for this?" She asked.

"Yeah. Bring her in." I said in a low tone. I was concerned on how Autumn on how take this.

"Come on back Autumn." Kate said.

Autumn walked thought the door and threw herself into my arms.

"Are you okay Dj? What's going on? Why did y'all call me in here?" She asked addressing me and Kate both.

"Well,'Kate started,' Dj wanted to talk to you about something and she wanted me to be in here with y'all."

"Kate has been through hell and high water with me,'I explained,'and as she was saying since you and I are kinda going steady now, I wanna get your input on something."

"What is it Dj your scaring me!" Autumn said with fear in her voice.

"Well there is no reason to be scared sweetheart,'I got up and propped up against Kate's desk to let her have my seat,'before you and I even met or even started talking, I had applied for the army, I've wanted to do this since my 8th grade year! but I wasn't expecting to get accepted this early! about a month before school started, I got an acceptance letter and I'm getting shipped off in July. The catch is, since I care for you so much I wanna have your approval and get your input." I stopped and looked at Autumn,I had been staring at the ground the whole time and not even realized it.

"Well honestly I'm not very comfortable with the idea, but if it's your dream, I support you." Autumn said.

"Really?"I asked.

"Yeah, why wouldn't I support the one I love ?" She said

"Did she just say she loved me?"I thought

"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!" I said

"Well that went better than I expected." Kate said.

About that time the bell rang, that meant I only had to brace through a milkshake "date" with Mikey and Autumn, and then I'd finally get a chance to go on a date with the love of my life. Since she hD been the first to say it, I didn't feel as bad as I once did.

As we walked through the hall I had the urge to grab her hand and show everyone that she was off limits, but before I had a chance to make a move she had already thought about it and hand my hand. I was taller than her so I had my hand in front of hers to make it easier on her but I don't think It really helped because she was a mere 5 foot 3 and I was 6 foot, there was a huge height difference but anyways, I was doing what I thought would be easier on her. For a girl I was pretty big, not weight I was a great weight but I was muscular, I could bench-press at least 300lbs and squat 350lbs and I had never worn make up in my life, Not normal for a girl but I didn't want to look like a girl to the eye, and I didn't for the most part. Autumn on the other hand was very feminine, she always wore make up, her hair was always flat, her clothes were always somewhat feminine, but not enough to where she looked like a straight girl, but enough to tell she was a little on the lesbian side, she couldn't weight anymore than 120lbs. Anyways, we made our way to her car and I spotted Mike across the parking lot.

"Hold on a sec let me see where were goin'." I said and put my stuff in her car.

"Mikey!! Hey! Hold on!" I yelled running towards him.

"Hey Dj, we still up for milkshakes?" He asked

"Yeah! But change of plans, Autumn wants to tag along since I'm apparently spending the weekend at her place." I said with a raised eye brow.

"Get it get it!" Mikey teased.

"Is it cool if she comes along?" I asked

"Of course! I wanna meet the girl that my best friend is so madly in love with!'He teased, 'I'll meet y'all at Bubba Jim's in about 10-20 mins?" He said.

"Alright I'll see you then!"

I made my way back towards Autumns car and as I was walking my phone vibrated in my pocket I looked down at the screen, it was a text.....from Jessie.

"Oh shit!" I said out loud and looked at Autumn looking out the window at me, I was ghost white and I knew it.

--- what do you suggest Dj does?

Who do you think Jessie is?

What's Autumn going to say about this?
