I looked at Autumn in disbelief. Did she seriously want me to go back and tell her about the girl that I feel in love with before her?

"That was Jessie babe, I told you that"

"No you introduced us. Now who in the hell was a she and why did she come to the barn?!" Autumn yelled.

"She's my ex..." I said.

"Is that who was texting you?! Is that why you turned your phone off?!"

Autumn was livid and I could tell.

"I'm not gonna lie to you."

"So she was texting you! Give me your phone!"

Was this chick serious I mean yeah I loved her and we were together but she wanted to go through my phone after one accident? I mean hell I had stuff on My phone that she didn't need to see, much less that i wanted her to see!

"Ummm I don't know about that sweetie."

She slammed on her brakes.

"Give me your damn phone!" She said throwing her hand out.

I knew if I didn't give her my phone that we would be late to meeting Mikey, so call me whipped if you want but I handed her my phone. She went through the messages and saw what I had told her and leaned over the console and gave me a hug.

"Thank you for telling her to leave you alone and being loyal babe."

"Well that went better than I thought I it would" I said to myself.

She turned around and started to drive again, I reached over and took her hand. We had stopped by the mailbox on the way out and so I decided to see what had come in the mail. I looked down and there was a letter from the government....

"Oh shit!" I yelled

"What babe?" She asked

"It's a letter from the government.... I think it's about my deployment."

"Don't open it yet, you can open it when we get to the ice cream shop and get in there with Mikey because I know he knows." She said sadly.

The bad thing was.... He didn't know at all. But I wasn't going to tell her that.

"I'm gonna go ahead and open it, what if it's my dog tags and stuff, I'll need to put them on."

"Alright of go for it"

I started to rip the envelope open and i saw my dog tags taped to the letter.... This could only mean one thing.......,early deployment.

I opened it and started reading the letter. How was I going to tell Autumn

Dear Ms.Smith,

We are sorry to inform you, but the army is lacking soldiers. You we're one of the next 30 names on our list to be deployed, your ship off date it May 3,2014. You must come to Lieutenant Jacksons office, Saturday morning at 8 a.m to get your uniform. Please inform your loved ones of your deployment, because as always you may not return. That's the price you may have to pay of being on the front line, I expect to see you in the Saturday morning.

How was I going to tell Autumn? How was I going to tell Mikey! I couldn't ask autumn to carry me to the recruiting office to get my uniform and bag and everything, what was I going to do?

"DJ!" Autumn yelled!

I guess I had been day dreaming, I couldn't hear anything and was staring at the paper and the only words I could see were, DEPLOYMENT, SHIPMENT, UNIFORM, MAY 3, MAY NOT RETURN. I was beyond scared, I could not focus.

"Autumn don't yell! Just stop!" I snapped, "leave me alone for right now!"

"Fine you don't have to bitch at me!" She snapped.

How was I going to to tell her and Mikey?! I was gonna have to....
