Autumns place

After we got back to the house, Autumn showed me where to put my stuff and she showed me around.

"And this is our room." She said as we got back to her room with a little queen size bed in the corner. Her room had black walls and nothing but band posters on the walls. I started looking at the pictures hanging on the wall and taking in her room. The smell was so familiar, it was the smell of her perfume that I had come to know so well, her car smelt the same.

"My mom and little brother will be home soon, and I want you to meet momma." She said with a smile.

"Wait does your mom know?" I asked

She looked at me like I was stupid, "no my mom doesn't know that I brought my girlfriend home, YES she knows you dumbass!"

I walked over to her, "Don't call me a dumb ass!" I yelled as I wrapped my arms around her waist pulling her close to me.

"And why not?" She teased

"'cause it makes me sad..." I said with a pouty face.

"Fine, I won't call you a dumbass." She said while wrapping her arms around my neck and leaning in to kiss me.

"God I love her! Should I wait until I talk to Mikey to ask her or what??" I thought to myself.

She pulled away from my lips,"by the way, your going to my family reunion with me tomorrow."

Tomorrow was Friday so I could go with her and meet her family before I left.

"That sounds like fun, I would love to meet your family." I said while giving her a hug and picking her up.

"Great, because soon it will hopefully be your family too. Now put me down!" She yelled.

I set her down and then we heard a car door close and she looked out her window,

"Guess who's home." She said with a big smile.

"Your mom and brother?" I said

"Yep. Let's go down stairs."

"Aight"

I shook my head to move my hair out of the way of my eyes so I could make eye contact with her mom. If I had learned anything from my dad that was the one thing that was had drilled into me, always look someone in the eye when your meeting them or just simply talking to them, shows that you were raised right. We made our way down the stairs when I heard a voice yell,

"Sissy sissy sissy!! Look at what mommy got me"

This little boy that looked so much like Autumn held up a clear box showing autumn what he had got.

"Mommy got me a tutle"

He had to be about 3 or 4 because his speech wasn't very clear.

"That's awesome Ash! You better take care of it." Autumn said bending down to give him a hug,

"I will, mommy got me the food and everyfimg!"

"Awesome buddy! Asher this is DJ." She said introducing us.

"Umm hi," I responded shyly.

"Hi do you see my tutle?! Isn't he cool!!" Asher yelled.

"Yeah man that's one cool little buddy right there!" I said.

"How old are you?" Asher asked while playing with my dog tags.

"I'm 18 how old are you?" I responded

"I'm free." He said holding up three fingers.

"That's awesome!" I said scruffing his hair

"Asher, go get the turtles food and tank out of the car and see if Autumn will help you set it up." Said a short black haired woman.

"Hey momma." Said Autumn.

"Hey babygirl. How was school?"

"It was good, normal day for the most part, mom this is DJ my girlfriend."

"Hello DJ, I'm Kristi, it's nice to meet you." Her mom said sticking out her hand

"Nice to meet you too." I said shaking her hand.

"Well I see you've got a pair of dog tags on, what branch are you going into?" Kirsti asked.

"Oh I was accepted into the Army."

"That's good my husband, Autumn and Asher's dad, may his would rest in piece, was a soldier. He was killed in Afghanistan here recently that's why we moved out here." She explained.

"Mom!" Autumn demanded

"What I was just telling her, damn Autumn chill out."

"It's alright Autumn, my mom and dad were killed in a car wreck. Along with my baby sister who later died in the hospital."

"I didn't know about that." Autumn said

"Because I didn't find it relevant sweetie." I said kissing her cheek.

"Alright you two go ahead and head up stairs, I'll call you when dinner is ready."

"Alright momma,' Autumn said kissing her cheek. "Call if you need any help."

We started up the stairs when Kristi called after Autumn,

"Hey babe, will you help Ash set up his turtle tank?"

"Sure mom"

"Thanks babe, maybe DJ will help too."

"Of course I will Ms. Kristi"

"So polite, she is a keeper Autumn Nikole!" Kristi yelled.

We headed up the stairs and I ducked into our room real quick to set the ring box in my bag, when I did my phone was going off and it was a text from Mikey.

"Yo bruh, when you comin to my place?" The text said

I shot him a reply, "gonna set up her lil bros turtle tank, eat, have some hot lesbian sex, then watch a movie till she crashes, which won't be long. Be there in a bit."

"Too much information Bruh!!! I'll see ya when ya get here." He replied back.

I needed to come up with a plan and quick I had less than 48 hours left in Alabama, what was I going to do...

"Babe, we need your help!" Autumn yelled.

"Comin!"

Damn it I was already whipped... was like we were already married......
