Once everyone had settled down and Kayla and James had finished telling us about there lunch I went to find something for dinner. It's unbelievable how much we had managed to eat this week, we had honestly got no good what so ever. I walked back into the living room where everyone else was still sitting watching Pointless on the TV.

"Right, we have no good for dinner. We need to go shopping, what does everyone want?" I asked looking round the room purposely avoiding eye contact with Con

"Can we not just get a takeaway tonight honey?" My dad said shrugging his shoulders

"Um, yeh I suppose so. Fish and Chips?" I proposed getting nods from everyone.

"I'll come with you?" Con asked unsurely, I nodded back as even though I was still annoyed at him it's quite late and cold and I didn't want to be out by myself

"Should we just get like five fish suppers to share between us all?" I asked

"Yeh, that sounds good! My purse is in the kitchen, be back soon!" My mum shouted as I walked out of the living room door, Connor awkwardly trailing behind me

"Why did you leave?" He asked me when we reached the end of the driveway

"I just got annoyed, I didn't expect you to say that." I answered

"Say what though? What did I say?" We stopped before we reach the pavement on the main road

"What you said about being depressed and killing your self about chips, I didn't expect you to say that." I told him beginning to get irritated

"I'm sorry, I didn't think it would affect you. I mean that stuffs all in the past right?" He asked taking hold of one of my hands, I didn't pull it away.

"Well it did, I'm sorry if I over reacted it's in the past of corse." I lied, lying had become a habit of mine so he easily believed me

We start to walk down the street, hand in hand. Scottish weather is awful, it was freezing. I carefully moved in closer to him hoping that our shared body heat would warm me up. His arm almost instantaneously whipped around my waist pulling me in tighter into him in an almost protective way. I put my arm around his waist and let my head fall on to his shoulder, even though the walk was in silence it was nice type of silence, not awkward.

"Here we are!" I said as we approached the chip shop

"I can smell the chips from here wow!" Connor said sniffing the air like a blood hound

"Your cute, you know." I said, gently poking him in the ribs

"I know," he winked, "WOAH!" He shouted before I bust into a fit of giggles, maybe I should halve warned him about the step. Everyone in the line looked towards him with a 'what a complete idiot' expression plastered onto their faces. I completely agreed with them.

Con's point of view:

Ow, well, that hurt. I stood back up whilst dusting myself down, my arms going to have nice bruises in the morning anyway. Grace ordered the fish and chips with the boy behind the counter and walked back to me.

"I went to school with him, it's the first time I've seen him in ages," she told me looking back at the boy who was continuously flirtatiously smiling at her, "I told him I had a boyfriend." She smiled at me and took my hand

"Good." I said firmly kissing her cheek and then returning to glare at the boy behind the counter

"You orders ready Grace!" The boy shouted as we both walked over still keeping our hands together, our fingers intertwined.
