A/N: didn’t have time to edit this, probably many grammar mistakes, my apologies.
Chapter 29: Now or Never~
I slammed the door to my locker and leaned my back against it as I let out a sigh, “This is never gonna work.”
“Of course it is,” Christina corrected, giving me an encouraging smile. The blonde put her hand on my shoulder, “Austin loves you.”
“I’m not so sure anymore.”
“Oh please, he’s so in love with you it’s pathetic,” Ryan commented, appearing from behind Christina.
“And besides,” Mike added, walking towards us, “If he doesn’t, we could always beat the shit out of him.
From the smirk on his face, I knew he was clearly joking, but I knew if it came down to it, Mike wouldn’t hesitate in smashing Austin’s face in. He was always like my older brother.
This was still all weird to me. The feeling couldn’t exactly be foreign, of course it was familiar. I just wasn’t used to them being around me. I led myself to believe they didn’t give a fuck about me. Which reminds me…
“Why are you guys doing this?” I asked, “Why do you want to help me?”
“We told you already,” Cordaro answered as she turned the corner, joining us with John, Kyle, and Jason, “Because we care about you.”
“And hopefully if we do this for you, you’ll find it in you to forgive us,” Ryan explained.
“We really are sorry, Court,” Mike admitted, “We were jerks. We shouldn’t have believed what we heard about you. We should’ve trusted you. We were wrong.”
I didn’t know whether to trust them again or not, so I said, “Let’s just see how this works out.”

“Everything’s all set?” I whispered into my cellphone, beginning to get nervous.
“Yes, don’t worry,” Christina assured through our conference call, “Everything’s going to go fine.”
So naturally, I worried.
“All you have to do now is sit there and wait,” Ryan added.
“Let us take care of everything,” Mike concluded.
“You guys ready?” Cordaro asked.
There were a series of ‘yes’ answers. This was it. Now or never. I hung up discreetly, so that I wouldn’t get in trouble, considering I was currently in Choir class. I nodded towards Jon, who was also in my Choir class, to signal that the plan was in motion.
The seconds went by like hours and I thought my heart was going to literally burst through my chest. What if this didn’t work? This was all I had left.
Finally, the fire alarm rang.
I knew that Kyle had pulled the fire alarm and Cordaro and Mike were his look out.
Phase One: Complete.
“Atención clase!” Mr. Rodriguez announced, snapping his fingers at the class, “Let’s all calmly exit the classroom, last one behind us closes the door.”
