Throughout dinner, I could feel Rocky's eyes on me. Every time I glanced in his direction, he quickly looked away. There was something bothering him, but I wasn't going to find out.

After dinner, Riker and I go into the den to watch a movie. We would've been in his room, but Rocky was in there. Before we start Captain America: The First Avenger, I look around to make sure no one is around to hear me. "Rocky called me this morning." I say in a hushed tone, even though we were alone.
"What? Did he say why?"
"He wanted to talk to me, but I don't know what about. I hung up on him."
"Good."
"Do you think we should talk to him about it?"
"I'll talk to him later."
"Okay." I sigh in relief.

We go silent, and start the movie. For some reason the silence starts to bother me.
"I'll be right back." Riker just nods. I stand and go find Rydel. I climb the stairs, skipping every other one, and make my way to Rydel's room. Her door was closed when I reach it, I knock.
"Come in." She says. I open the door to see her hanging some clothes in her closet.
"Hiya."
"I thought you were watching a movie with Riker?"
"We were," I lay on my stomach at the foot of her bed.
"But?"
"But nothing. I'm just not in the mood to watch it."
"So what's up then? You haven't really been acting yourself today." Rydel finishes hanging the last bit she had to hang, and turns to sit on her bed next to me.
"I know. I didn't really want to talk about it earlier, because I wanted to tell Riker first,"
"Are you going to say what I think you're going to say?" She asks excitedly. It took me a moment to realize what she meant.
"Oh God no!" I blurt out. I knew exactly what she meant without her saying the exact words.
"So you're not pregnant?" Rydel's face dropped.
"Hell no."
"Awe, thanks for getting my hopes up."
"Oh, I'm so sorry. Do you want me to get working on that right now?" I ask jokingly. A smile appears on her face. "I was kidding!"
"Come on! You guys were have adorable kiddies."
"That might be true, but give me another few years." Rydel groans and falls back. "But what I was saying before all that," I took a second. "Rocky called me earlier."
"When?" She shot right back up.
"At Pinky's." She took a moment to think back to earlier.
"You mean when your phone went off and you went outside?" I nod. "You didn't say it was him, I thought it was something for work."
"I wish it was something for work, but it was him. I didn't look at my caller ID before I answered it. I was a little embarrassed after our conversation before that, that I just wanted a distraction from it, no matter who it was. I didn't know it was him. If I did, I wouldn't have answered."
"What'd he say?"
"He just wanted to talk to me, but I don't know about what. I hung up on him."
"I'm guessing you told Riker?"
"You guessed right."
"What'd he have to say?"
"Nothing." Rydel looks at me with confusion upon her face. "I asked him if we should talk to him about it, but he said he'd talk to him later."
"Well I guess that's a good thing."
"Yeah."
