Xavier:
My eyes burn with tears as I see the poison injected into her, the new chemical. The chemical that will change her forever, a chemical that no one has tried a chemical will destroy her.
"No!" I cry out trying to break free.
"See what you did to her Xavier," I can't even look at her the woman standing in front of me, the woman who is not my mother the woman who I loathe with the depths of my heart.
"No!" I repeat, "You can't do this!"
"I already have, your precious Rosalind is dead until I decide because I rule this world!" She shrieked. She straightens her crown and gowns the black jewels representing her blackened heart, the blood red representing everyone she's killed to become Queen.
"Everyone will fight back, she's made sure everyone has seen everything, you're so stupid," I yell.
"I am your mother, you will not talk to me like that," I stare at her and father letting out a cold laugh.
"You never left the room," I say emotionless, nothing but pain and hatred running through my veins.
"The guard has been sent to turn it off nobody will know about the effect of the new chemical it will be shipped off tomorrow to those we have been suspicious of spreading evil through our beautiful world. They will die until I tell them to live." She waved it off as though it was nothing, a person who runs the streets red with blood will never compare to the evil she has committed.
"You don't get it do you, you've put your own head on the chopping block," I speak to the King now, no longer my Father. "I thought you'd be smart enough to leave but you're just as idiotic you've both picked up a double edged blade. You really think the guard will be able to turn it off, most people are illiterate because of you! The book ban, remember that,"
She remembers the colour drains from her face, she's killed herself with her own sword.
"Hardly anyone knows how to read because of you, he's illiterate he can't read there could be a huge red button with the word STOP on it and he still wouldn't be able to turn it off!"
"Everyone heard that everyone saw you inject that into Rosalind, your stupidity has put a ransom over our own heads!" The king shout whilst I just cry, "Everyone saw that now everyone knows what to do, I as Xavier Locksley the heir to the throne of the Pristine Court refuse to pick up this broken crown. I will never lead your totalitarian government your dictatorship. Everyone is my witness when I relinquish my right to the throne!"
"You will do no such thing!" My mother coldly whispers," I still have Rosalind, your love, your soul your heart."
"My heart will still beat after death because she will never die she will live in another world away from you, escape you, she was never scared of Death the thought of dying never mattered to her she lived only to make a difference, I was the one who told her not to die, tell her to carry on and she listened she's not selfish she may have isolated herself but she isn't heartless."
"She did it for Eleanor for Kai for Mr and Mrs Sparks people who all care for her but she also did it for everyone, everyone who sneered behind her back, looked down on her judge her but she still did it. She may not have thought she was a heroine or anybody but she is a soul that will live on even if you kill her, or me or everybody who crosses your path because she did the impossible she overthrew you, on her own."
"Say another word and I'll keep her half dead, still living still feeling all the pain but not being able to do anything,"
"You might as well do it to me too because I'm never listening to you again because she's right you killed me a long time ago, you killed everyone's will to question a long time ago and she brought it back why don't you look outside to see what she's done to your utopia."
She does, she look outside to see people beginning to stand together and fight back. people rushing into the castle and every building, rushing into the prisons the tower square and rebelling. For once revolting having their own mind.
"Get us out of here!" the King commanded, he guards dragged me towards the door, carrying Roses lifeless body with them. They raised their guns and waited, for a swarm of people to rush through the corridors at any minute, no one did.
II swung my elbow backwards, hitting one of the guards square in the jaw. He yelled in pain letting go of me. One of my arms free, it was all I needed I punched the other one as hard as I could hit him at a pressure point, he fell to the floor. I ran forward the rest of the guards raised their guns but no one shot.
"What are you waiting for, I'm no longer your son your heir your puppet. I'm just Xavier, who you took everything from,"
"Son," My dad whispered.
"Didn't you hear me I am not your son, you never loved me, I'm only 13 and I've never heard you say the words I love you ever because you don't love me you never have and you never will, so go on put me out of my misery,"
"Xavier," murmured a voice so soft I could barely hear it.
"Rose," I whispered back, rushing forward not caring that there were guns pressed against me. Her eyes were still closed but she was mumbling something.
"Why do you call me Rose instead of Rosa or something," I realised then she was reliving things that happened before everything, memories she told me she buried.
"I called you a Rose, " I choke back the tears before saying exactly what I said before, "because you're as unique as a Rose," I whisper.
She's silent for a moment, she looks like she's thinking exactly like she did when I first told her that.
"If I was a rose, what kind would I be?"
"Umm... You'd be one of those dark red ones because you have so much love in your heart," I smile as tears fall onto her face, I quickly wipe them away"
"Okay," she smiled a bit just like before. "What type of Rose would you be,"
"I don't know,"
"I think you'd be a dark blue rose," she says smiling a bit more
"But there aren't any dark blue roses, I've never seen one before,"
"Exactly, you're a rose that no one else has ever seen before,?" it hurt so much as I hear her say those words again, I know what happens next.
This is the part where I give her a red rose picking it from the garden and handing it to her.
"Here, " I don't have a rose to give her though so I place my hand against her flat palm. she slowly closes her hand around me.
"Thank you," she murmurs. "The next time I see you I'll give you a blue one,"
"Xavier," someone calls, but I don't respond that was the day we never saw each other again because that was the day I betrayed her trust, the day she never spoke to me again. The day that broke me, killed me, a day Rose was having to re-live over and over again.
"It's going to be okay" she whispers., this didn't happen after wards. "Don't give up, don't be selfish."
