"Where are you taking me?" I hissed at the boy pushing me to walk. His lean fingers wrapped around my wrists pulling me forward effortlessly.

"You'll see soon enough princess," I glared at his arrogant expression my eyes cold with contempt.

All I could think of was how they were using Roses sacrifice for their own gain. It sickened me to my core.

My thoughts wondered to Xavier and Kai I hoped they were okay I had been gone for a while and I knew Xavier would be worried but I would make it out of here. There was no way that I would leave them behind.

I had to be there for them, especially Xavier,  I owed it to Rose she would want me to hold him together make sure he knows that not all hope is lost that he will one day see her beautiful smile again. I had seen him break over the months and I was trying my best to help him but I know there was only one person that could truly make him feel complete again and that's Rose.

"We're here," one of the five, who I assume are guards, announced. The location of their meeting was so predictable it was almost laughable.

Where would someone intending to become the new monarchy make their statement of power? A castle of course.

The spirals of pearly white marble towered above me the intricate gold and silver designs cascading down them.

The remnants of the red and black crest of the Pristine Court that had once been embellished on the gates was now left mangled and discarded on the floor.

I bit back a smirk as I couldn't fight the overwhelming sense of happiness I got from knowing that the Queen's rule had been abolished she deserved everything that happened and more after what she did to me, to Rose, to Xavier.

A small feverish boy sat in the guards room fidgeting with the controls. When his eyes met my captors, he perked up before lowering his head in what I think was respect.

I didn't miss the grin that formed across my captors face the pride was already getting to him. I wondered how inflated his ego had become.

Shaking my head I looked up at the gate keeper again and out of sympathy or something I gave him a small smile. He smiled back but quickly looked away when he saw the glare that now presented itself on the boy behind me.

"What are you doing?" he whispered into my ear. I shrugged not willing to give him a response. He pushed me forward again, away from the other guards and through the gates, "Don't do that."

"What?" I exasperated, "Smile? I can't smile now. You're treating me more like a prisoner than an ally."

Using as much force as I could I pushed my hands downwards to loosen his grip around my wrists enough so I would be able to twist out of his grasp. I caught him off guard so it was easier than I thought it would be but knew better than to underestimate anyone now.

I turned to face him rubbing my wrists before crossing my arms and giving him a pointed look. "Well? Why are you treating me like I'm some prisoner. I'm here to get my revenge on the monarchy not help build a new one full of hypocrisy. So I want to talk to whoever is in charge,"

He began to respond but I knew exactly what he was going to say, "Don't you dare tell me you're in charge. I refuse to believe you."

He chuckled, the sound felt so off and I didn't know what it was it just sounded so disingenuous, forced even.

"You know me so well, princess."

I sighed at the stupid nickname, he so thought he could charm his way through everything. It wasn't going to work. I wanted nothing to do with him all I needed was to find out there plans.
