Jungkook didn't know what to do. He knew he was late and he knew he should've woken up earlier, but he just couldn't get out of bed. He slowly rose himself out of his humongous bed and held onto one of the wooden poles for dear life.
His body was still weak from the trip to Huan he had made last week. He had to sit on a horse for most of the trip, which was a trip of four days. He was tired and his body was protesting against every single move the young boy was making, but he made it to his closet. A nice pair of expensive looking shorts was draped across the chair in front of the mirror, a blouse and the younger his green cape was displayed as well.
Jungkook changed into the clothes and attached his sword belt to his middle, it clicking in place. He made his way towards his door and opened it to reveal a long corridor. He slowly made his way towards the end of it and turned left, towards the stairs.
Jungkook cursed his father for choosing to live in the biggest castle the royal family owned as he walked down the huge stairs. ''Your Highness!'' Jungkook smiled, recognizing that voice like no other. He slowly turned his head to smile at one of his best friends, and one of his bodyguards, Kim Namjoon.
Namjoon had joined Jungkook's side when the younger was around the age of twelve, and seven years later, the older was still there. Alongside Namjoon was usually Min Yoongi, but the older was visiting his family at the moment.
''Good morning, hyung.'' Jungkook bowed his head and Namjoon made a deep bow, something he refused to give up on, even though Jungkook had asked the older to stop doing it. ''why are you in the hallway, the breakfast banquet has almost finished.'' Namjoon said, and Jungkook nodded.
''the trip to Huan really wore me out. I slept through Hoseok-hyung his knocks, I think.'' Jung Hoseok was one of Jungkook's best butlers, and was surprisingly dating Yoongi. ''I guess you did, Your Highness. I will tell your father.'' Jungkook nodded, and Namjoon offered him an arm to help him down the stairs.
''A bunch of new workers are coming in today. They said the kitchen was short on staff and a lot of people applied for the job.'' Namjoon stroke up a conversation, and Jungkook was thankful. As crown prince he was kept busy with the 'more important stuff' according to his father. But, Jungkook loved to know who was going to work in his home, because he loved meeting new people.
Every single servant in the castle loved Jungkook to bits and Jungkook loved every single one of them equally. He knew everyone their names and greeted everyone when they passed him by in the hallway. Jungkook did not want to be like his father, who didn't care and thought he was way too good for everyone around him.
''oh, that's interesting. I wonder what kind of people they are going to be?'' Jungkook looked at Namjoon with puppy eyes, because he knew Namjoon knew more. ''you're so good at this stuff. I know for a fact about a quarter of them, which are about ten of them, are orphans fresh out of the orphanage.'' Jungkook frowned. He hated that a lot of kids didn't have their parents there for him.
In Jungkook's opinion, every child deserved to grow up with at least one parent by their side. ''that's sad. I hope they'll feel at home here.'' Jungkook said, and Namjoon smiled. ''I'm sure they will. As long as you stay the way you are, this country and everyone serving under you will have a good life.'' Namjoon patted Jungkook's shoulder Jungkook thanked the male.
Namjoon waved him goodbye and was quick to leave the hallway, leaving Jungkook alone in front of the office door. The young male didn't want to enter and hear his father yell at him for sleeping in and he didn't want to deal with the fact that his father wanted to cause another war, something the country of Yoji couldn't afford.
