A/N:
Hi! Long time no see. Well, my life has been a little crazy and I know I've been neglecting my writing so I apologize. I know this chapter is super short and I am sorry if it's disappointing but I'm putting up another chapter hopefully tonight so that should make up for it a little....right? I love you all so much and again I am so sorry life has gotten in the way. I understand if anyone is upset/doesn't want to read this anymore. Also, there is talk about alcohol, family death, and whatnot so if you're easily triggered by that look away. Okay, I'm done here! I love you all so much and I hope to see you all tonight!

Nazz gets home opening the door to her empty apartment with a heavy sigh. Everything seems so lonely especially with no one to hold on nights like this. Why does she never get to be the one who's happy? Why is she always the one picking up everyone else's pieces? Seeing Kevin in the state he was in when she walked into his place tore her to shreds because it reminded her how bad she was when she was first left on her own.

The blonde rests in her worn out recliner only to stand back up again to walk over to her dirty mirror, starring at the reflection. She looks deep into her sunken eyes that haven't been able to sleep properly for what feels like years. Dread takes over as she begins to feel her eyes well up with tears once again. Why does she always feel this way? Why can't anyone fix her? She decides to splash her face with some cold water to help her mind settle back into reality. Her phone buzzes, helping her come back easily when she reads the name 'Big Red' on her screen.

A smile instantly creeps across her face as she reads through the long thank you letter. A quick reply of "Any time sweetheart." And just like that, she's alone again. Why can't she ever be thanking anyone? Just like that her mind is racing back.

"I'll see you later at Graduation!" The happy young blonde said waving off her group of friends. She goes back to her empty apartment that she shares with her dad. A shrine to her deceased mother rests in the living room. "I know you're proud of me." Nazz said with a bright smile at the photo. She assumed her father was already at work so she didn't even bother looking for him before she got ready to head off for her highschool graduation.

As everyone was waiting to walk across stage a very nervous looking teacher approached Nazz. "Are you miss Van Bartonschmeer?" The man asked before seeing the young almost graduate nod. "I...I am so sorry to have to be telling you this now right before your big moment but you should know....your father was found dead." He managed to say, trying break the news as gently as possible. He was shocked however when he was met with a smile. "Thank you for telling me sir." She said before heading off with all the other high schoolers.

Numb. That's exactly how she felt once she made it back to her empty home that now somehow seemed even more lonely. She was used to be alone however, this was nothing new...just another set back. She would be lying to herself if she said she wasn't expecting. Her father relied heavily on alcohol, everyone knew it. However, she was determined to end up in a better place than him.

Loneliness and depression quickly took over sending her into the state she said she would never be in. No one helped her however, she only helped herself. Bills piled up, liquor bottles emptied out, her sanity diminished. She had hit her low but she was determined to break out. Even if it took a lifetime.

Working 3 jobs for 3 years she finally was out of debt and able to leave the town she once called home. Leaving was bittersweet but without a change of scenery she felt she would never get peace. Which is when she stumbled across a club, a new place to call home along with new people to call family.

Now then, this isn't the past...this is the present. Nazz seeing someone just as lonely as her breaks her heart considering she had no one until recently. She's determined to help out, even if it hurts her. Just so long as one day some one returns the favor.

Her phone going off again diverts her attention from her past as she sees the familiar name on her phone again.
'New message from Big Red'
"Hey...let me take you out tomorrow as a thank you."

Finally....someone gets it.
