Edd sat at a table in the cafe alone as he fidgeted with his hands. He was unbelievably early so of course he knew he would be a waiting for a while but he still wondered why he felt so nervous. He removed his beanie to run his fingers through his hair and then froze. There he was, there was Zach, exceptionally early as well. It was only 8am and there they both were.

The brunette saw the Raven and smiled as he walked over to the table. "You're an early bird I see." He chuckled and Edd returned the laugh with his own little giggle. "What can I get you?" Zach asked revealing his deep dimples with a huge smile. Edd couldn't help but to blush, who was this perfect man? Did Edd even deserve to be in the same room as him? Concerned blue-green eyes brought him back to reality. "P-Pancakes!" Edd didn't really like pancakes that much but it was the first word that came to mind. Zach didn't even hesitate before getting up to retrieve the secretly unwanted food.

What was this? Someone actually wanting to take care of Edd? This was a foreign concept to him due to recent events but he wasn't going to complain, even if he was terrified. He was so lost in his own thoughts that he jumped with a small squeak when blue-green eyes were directly in front of him once again.

"Are you okay?" Zach asked concerned. Edd honestly didn't have an answer, but to not worry his new friend anymore he just gave a small silent nod. The brunette gave a big genuine smile before placing French toast down, one of Edd's favorites. The Raven looked over at Zach curiously, being met with a chuckle and a small blush. "I've never once seen you order pancakes before so I kind of figured you wanted your usual breakfast instead." Once those words were spoken, Edd's eyes widened. He actually paid attention to minor details of his life? Who was this man and how did he not notice him before?

Breakfast was a little awkward at first because no one knew what to say but finally Zach opened his mouth. "I've never seen you out at a party before....actually I've never seen you out. I would always see you here and in some lectures we share together but you were always so focused on something else." When the brunette said this things were starting to make a little more sense. He did recognize Zach but he has always been so focused on what -Kevin- was up to, to notice anyone else.

"I'm sorry." That was the only thing Edd could think of saying. "For what?" Zach asked curiously. Edd actually wasn't sure what he was apologizing for but he felt the need to. The Raven took a deep breath in "I was seeing someone at the time, someone that I'm done with." He breathed out as he avoided eye contact. Silence. It was just silence for a solid minute before Edd dared to look up, being met with a smile and those damn dimples. "So, you're single?" Zach boldly asked. "Yes." Edd replied.

The rest of breakfast was spent discussing upcoming projects since they are both aspiring doctors. Zach may have been gorgeous but he was also secretly just as nerdy. The brunette loved working out in his free time however which is why he was in such good shape. He has a part time job in the schools cafe and has never even set foot near a strip club. Could Zach be his normal? Could he be his happy ending?
Only time can tell.

Back in Kevin's town however things were also just beginning to spark between him and a certain blonde.
