A/N:
I understand if you all hate me...I love you all so much though. I apologize that life keeps getting in the way. I am hoping to update more frequently but I don't want to make any promises I can't keep so for now enjoy this! Don't worry, I've already started writing the next chapter! I can at least tell you that!

Kevin looks down at his phone only to see no new messages or calls. He sighs knowing Edd wouldn't be too happy with the news of him taking out a girl. However, she did help him out majorly so he had to do something for her. Besides, it was just like any night out anyway. He sighs seeing his blank phone before finally pushing his pride aside to call Edd only to be immediately sent to voice mail. "Well...he's probably busy studying anyway." The ginger said to himself before pulling his shirt on and heading out the door.

Kevin takes a deep breath before knocking on the door of Nazz's small apartment. He wasn't sure why he was feeling so nervous, but he was. When the door opened the ginger took a sharp breath in seeing the stunning blonde in front of him. Nazz looked more rested for once and her expression seemed brighter, almost like she was truly happy. He wondered if she finally got through with Tony. Oddly enough, that thought made his own smile drop for a moment.

"What's wrong?" Nazz asks immediately catching on to the change in mood. When Kevin didn't answer she took that opportunity to link arms with him and lead the way. Once the two arrived at dinner Kevin couldn't help but stare at the blonde who smiled back at him. Her beautiful blue eyes locked onto his as he finds himself melting in them as he would with Edd's.

The silence was awkward but Kevin didn't know what to say because Nazz was leaving him speechless. Somewhere between the bread and the entree he finally found his voice. "Y-You look nice tonight...." The ginger was finally able to mutter out. He was met with a giggle causing him to furrow his brow. "Did I say something wrong?" He asked and before he knew it he felt a slim, slightly cold hand on top of his own. "You could never say anything wrong." Nazz replied as their eyes met once more.

Dessert is placed in front of them but now the two can only eye each other. There is obvious tension as the two cautiously pick at at delicious cake. All that is left in this moment is a cherry. "Would you mind?" Nazz asks eyeing the red fruit. Kevin chuckles a bit before responding. "Not at all, have at it." He says as his eyes drift to her succulent pink lips. The blonde sucks on the cherry for a moment before finally swallowing it with a satisfied sigh. "Thank you for tonight." She says with a soft smile. Kevin matched her smile with a small grin. He wanted to know more about her, he wanted to spend more time with this woman. It's amazing how much she has helped him but he knows so little about her. Finally he decides to play it cool by asking, "What are your plans next weekend?"

Nazz giggles a little biting at the bottom of her lip slightly. "Well...it's actually my birthday next Saturday." She says almost hopeful that he will invite her out again. A few moments of silence pass before Kevin finally is done thinking. "Come to my hometown with me?" He offered and the blonde's face lit up. "But why me?" She asked trying to hide just how excited she was. Kevin chuckled seeing how much she is actually holding back. "The club I used to work for has a special birthday ritual and I think you would love it." He said before paying the bill and standing up. He took her by the hand as he led her back silently to her place.

Kevin loved the way he and Nazz didn't have to talk about a thing. He loved the way she just knew the right moments to squeeze his hand to ensure his peace of mind. Nazz was almost like a little piece of heaven in his dark world....like someone else in his life who hasn't been even trying to return his calls. Finally, they made it to her door and the ginger was finding it hard to not kiss her but, he couldn't. Instead he left her with simple parting words. "I won't take no for an answer." He said referring to his birthday invitation from earlier. With that, she nodded with a smile and the door closed.
