The Interplanetary Visit

The emotional chip of the pod was about to reach a dangerous degree. It did not want to bother its master, as that would accomplish nothing sooner. It needed to complete the hacking and analysis of the new information, which was constantly being downloaded. Despite its newly upgraded abilities, the pod had to avoid detection by the IDS computers by hacking a level at a time and logging away and back in. If it was discovered, added security could impede the progress, and time was running out. Multitasking, the pod transmitted the decoded hacked information to Jupiter, informing them of the grave news. Within minutes, the ultra, super, incredible, impossible and enormous Jupitian mainframe – Jup -responded.

Jup had long gathered some information on the conspiracy, but intelligence given at that time showed only of a conspiracy on Earth, and not interplanetary. It had been expecting a direct attack from Earth and thus sent Ken to the one place that they would not attack –Earth- to keep him safe. Yet, the new data revealed that it was more complicated than it seemed. With new data from the pod, the mainframe ran a secret interplanetary system scan and retrieved information from computers all over the Milky Way. From the mainframes of the governing power in and on every planet, Jup analyzed the data retrieved and eventually sent them to the Jupitian pod. The news was entirely unbelievable. The biggest plan ever formulated in the entire Milky Way. The pod decoded the information, momentarily disconnecting from Jup.

Hacking its way up to every computer in the secret government and IDS, it left no online computer unchecked. It took the trouble to link to every satellite and scan the memory banks for fragments of data and putting them together. After all that, it waited for the church service to end and it was about time.

During this time, Ken and his classmates were sent to the main hall for a sermon after the time of mingling was over. After an hour of preaching by the pastor, the church bell rang indicating that church was over. It was really a short meeting of no longer than an hour and a half. Once the bell rang, several of Ken's classmates were rudely awakened by the bell. They had drifted to nap during the sermon. Ken thought as he walked out of the church. Hmm... interesting philosophy, it's really amazing how earthlings do not follow what they claim to believe in, not to mention drift off to sleep in such an interesting intellectual engagement.

Ken suddenly stopped; he was about to cross the road. The pod had sent an emergency signal to him. Quickly, he ran across the road, avoiding fast moving vehicles like a daredevil and into an alley. Lifting off, the pod left the roof and flew to just above the alley. After the Jupitian update program, the pod had maintained a fifty percent stealth mode, which was more than enough to avoid detection. Using his X-ray vision, Ken had successfully chosen an empty and bug-absent alley. From the alley, he levitated up to the roof invisible into the pod.

Levitating slowly without invisibility would let him be seen, and levitating fast would cause unnecessary gusts of wind. Above the rooftop, he got into his back-to-normal-size pod. Flying off, the pod headed to the nearby mountains where the transmissions were very easily sent and received, not to mention with reduced IDS surveillance.

"Ken," the pod began. "While you were in church, I hacked into the IDS and downloaded the files. The headquarters is found not to be on Earth but on Mars. Running a connection to the Jup, I received latest information that the Martians are being suppressed and held captive.

Mars is now in complete chaos. For what little Martians that survived, they were all under house arrest. There was also heavy infiltration of IDS in Saturn and Pluto. The director of IDS is a female Saturnian politician who once suggested to the Saturnians that Earth be eliminated along with Jupiter. The idea was brought about so much unrest, she was exiled as Saturn had a peace treaty with Jupiter. She later escaped and fled to Earth where she set up the IDS base and the other "back-up" bases. After the completion of the Earth bases, she had gone to Mars.
