  Stevie alternate reality 1979

  Stevie is woken by Wendy rolling around in the bed. She reaches over and notices Lindsey is out of bed. She decides to go check on him being it's a Saturday morning and unusual for him to be up. Truthfully she's worried he won't be here at all.

  She knows he's grown restless living here in this perfect little dream of their life. She has a feeling that makes her ache to her core that he will leave them and go back to their other life. She also knows they have a special connection between their souls that always seems to bring them back together.

  Stevie slides out of bed much the same way that Lindsey did a little earlier. She grabs her robe off the hook on the bathroom door and goes to see if she can find Lindsey.

  Stevie goes down the stairs and the smell of bacon and eggs cooking hits her as she makes her way to the ground floor. Stevie thinks

  "Maybe he got up early and decided to make us breakfast. But he never could cook here or our real lives. What is going on?"

  Stevie walks into the kitchen and sees Lindsey dressed in sweats and a white tshirt with an apron on cooking breakfast. He turns and says

  "Hey Angel your just in time, your eggs are done."

  He makes her a plate of breakfast complete with eggs, toast and bacon. He sits her plate on the table and motions for her to sit down. Stunned beyond belief Stevie does just that. Lindsey proceeds to pour her a cup of coffee complete with just the amount of cream she likes in it. He puts it down next to her plate and says

  "I'll go wake Wendy and get her around."

  "I'll make her breakfast when we come back down, you enjoy Steph!"

  He leans over and kisses her before heading upstairs to wake Wendy. As soon as his lips hit hers she knows. This isn't her Lindsey. This is the imposter Nexus version of him she had been living with until her Lindsey arrived. He's a perfect copy right down to the last detail. He might be a  perfect version of him but definitely not her other half from their world. The real Lindsey left her.

  Stevie drinks her coffee and thinks back to last night. She recalls the lovemaking then right before sleep telling her to trust him. Stevie doesn't have anymore time to ponder her situation as Wendy comes bounding into the kitchen and jumps into Stevie's lap. She says

  "Mommy, daddy said we could go to zoo today!"

  Stevie looks up and sees imposter Lindsey come walking into the kitchen. He says

  "I thought we could take Wendy to Happy Hollow park this afternoon."

  "After we can swing by Italian Gardens and have supper and I can check on things there."

  Stevie looks at Wendy and says

  "What ya think sweetgirl, shall we call grandma and see if she wants to go?"

  Wendy says

  "Yes call grandma please!"

  Lindsey walks right over and picks up the phone and calls his mother. Of course she's delighted to spend the day with them all. As Lindsey's on the phone he asks if it's okay for Jeff, Greg and their wives come along as well. Stevie nods her assent as Wendy squeals in delight.

  Stevie thinks if she has to spend the day with one imposter why not more? In the real world Ruth has been gone many years, she has enjoyed being so close to her in this world. Greg has been gone even longer. Although Jeff is still alive she has seen him and his family rarely over the years despite the good terms she has had with them. That's the rock and roll lifestyle she thinks. But not here. Family is everything here. Speaking of which she gets an idea. She says to Lindsey
