  Lindsey says to his dad

"You've been gone for over forty years dad, I know this has to be a dream."

  Morris laughs and replies

"Are you so sure this is a dream?"

"If it is don't you think this wouldn't hurt?"

Morris proceeds to pinch Lindsey hard on his left bicep. It's doesn't take Lindsey long to decide as he responds

"Ow dad knock it off that hurts!"

Morris let's go if his sons arm and says

  "You still think your dreaming?"

Lindsey rubs the sore spot on his arm and responds

"Okay okay it's not a dream, where am I then?"

Morris leads Lindsey out if Wendy's room and into the hallway. He says

"That energy ribbon you encountered was a doorway, a doorway to this place."

"This is called the Nexus, here you can wish for anything you want, or go anywhere you want to."

  "Time has no meaning here."

"You can go back to when you where a child, to when you and Stevie got married, when Wendy was born anything you want."

Lindsey looks at his dad incredulously and says

"This is crazy, I have to be dreaming or dead!"

Morris puts his hand on Lindsey's shoulder and says

"You are neither dreaming or dead as I've said, you are in the Nexus."

  Lindsey replies

"Okay is that why your here to in this fantasy land, because I invented it in my head?"

  Morris responds

"Every generation of our family has had one person who has encountered the Nexus at some point in their life."

"Some choose to stay and some have gone back."

  Lindsey replies

"They said you died, how can you be here now?"

  Morris responds

"I did go back and I certainly died, but once you enter the Nexus even if you leave part of you stays here forever."

"Think of me as an echo of the person you knew, a guide to help you understand this place."

Morris leads Lindsey downstairs to the kitchen. He continues

"You had better start the coffee for Stevie, she's got to be at school soon."

Lindsey goes over and starts the coffee pot. He turns around  asks his dad

"You said I can go anywhere I want, what if I want to go back to the desert and driving that rented Mustang in my real life?"

  Morris responds

"Of course you can go back whenever you want to but don't you think you should try living this life for a bit?"

"This is the life you always wanted, a home and family with Stephanie."

Lindsey replies

"It doesn't look like I'm wealthy anymore."

  Morris points upstairs and says
