Lindsey stares in shock. He had some suspicion things where a little off but not this much. The other person says

"So how have you been enjoying this reality?"

"Better than the last?"

The full truth of his situation hits him. He's not back in the world he came from. This is still the dream. He says

"I'm still in the Nexus, I never left."

"Have you been watching this whole time?"

The other person responds

"Indeed I have, I was hoping you and Stevie would be happier here."

Lindsey replies

"Of course we're happy but it still isn't real."

The other person laughs and responds

"It's as real as you want it to be son."

Lindsey scowls and says in frustration

"Why didn't you just tell me the truth dad?"

"Why didn't you tell me that we couldn't go back?"

Morris takes Lindsey by the arm and says

"Lets take a little walk outside"

Lindsey lets his dad lead him down the hallway and out a side door of the hospital that leads to the employee parking. Once they get outside Morris takes two cigars out of his inside jacket pocket and offers one to Lindsey. Lindsey takes it and Morris produces a lighter and lights them up. The two men stop and sit down on a nearby bench. Morris puffs a little on his cigar then says

"The last thing you remember is the energy ribbon overtaking you and depositing you in this place correct?"

  Lindsey nods and says

"Yes it was the most freakish thing I've ever seen!"

  Morris responds

"That energy ribbon is more than just a doorway, the Nexus is more than a fantasy land."

"This place is a stopover between your old life and crossing over into the next one."

Lindsey stares at his dad in disbelief. He shakes his head and says

"What your saying is that I've died?"

"What about what you said about getting to go anywhere I want even if it's back to my own life in the real world?"

Morris takes another couple puffs from his cigar and says

"You can go back to the world of the living but unfortunately you can only go back to the place and time the energy ribbon took you."

"This place was made for people who aren't ready to cross over."

"As I've said this place has no time, you can go wherever you want whenever you want."

"Everyone eventually becomes ready to leave this existence and go onward to the new one."

"Some also choose to go back to their old lives but once you really leave this place you can never come back."

Lindsey gets up and starts pacing. He puts is cigar out in the ashtray sitting by the bench. He paces some more around the area. This is too much information, it's overloading his mind. Morris tells him

"Try to relax son, inside you know I'm telling you the truth."

Lindsey stops pacing and stares at his dad. He thinks to himself
