Several weeks go by with Lindsey officially joining Fleetwood Mac. As they both knew, Stevie and Lindsey have hit it off fabulously with Mick, John and Christine. This time around Lindsey has vowed to leave the drug use behind and he has found the work in the studio is more focused and the recording goes at a quicker pace.
Stevie and Lindsey decide that Lindsey should add Go your own way and Never go back again to the album along with Blue letter, I'm so afraid, Monday morning and Crystal. Lindsey gets the band to allow Stevie to come in and lay down some backup harmonies for Go your own way and Never go back again. Lindsey insists they won't sound right without it.
At the same time Stevie and Lindsey are getting ready for their last show in Birmingham as Buckingham Nicks. Stevie has already asked Waddy and the guys if they would be interested in joining her on her solo career. She plans on finding away to meet Lori and Sharon and bringing them on board as well.
Lindsey and Stevie both marvel on how well things are coming together for them, they have encountered almost no roadblocks. Both of them secretly wonder what the first bump on the road will be in their new life.
In the middle of march Lindsey gets a couple weeks off from Fleetwood Mac and the production of the new album. Stevie and Lindsey along with the band are in rehearsals for the Birmingham show. The band has been practicing at Keith Olson's place, one afternoon after practice Lindsey says to Stevie
"Why don't you take the afternoon off and go hang out with Robin."
"I think I'm going to stay here for a bit and work on a couple of things."
Stevie responds
"It would be great to catch up with her, you know how much I missed her!"
Lindsey replies
"I know, it's surreal isn't?"
"All the travelling we've done, living in different time periods I get confused sometimes!"
Stevie responds
"Most of the people we've lost over the years are here, I really want to do this the right way this time and spend all the time we can with them all."
Lindsey replies
"Well most of them anyway, I can do without Don Henley, Jimmy Iovine, Joe Walsh...."
Stevie interrupts him saying
"How about Carol Ann Harris?"
"I could do without ever meeting that bitch!"
"She can go find something else to go write about."
They both laugh and Lindsey replies
"I think we can both agree things are going to be different this time."
Stevie smiles and gets up on her tip toes and kisses him sweetly. She then reaches in his pocket and takes his car keys out. Lindsey takes a step back in suprise then says
"What are you doing Steph, you don't drive!"
Stevie smiles and dangles the keys in front of him and responds
"In 1975 I have a drivers license and I intend on using it!"
Lindsey replies
"Okay Angel at least you won't be driving Keith's car, I'm sure you putting it in the neighbors house is still fresh in his mind."
Stevie punches Lindsey in the arm and he feigns being hurt she laughs and heads out to Lindsey's Toyota. Lindsey thinks
"She really hasn't drove in years I'm legitimately worried here."
