Runaway (Jackie's Story)

Chapter 11

I nuzzled her neck and nipped her ear. She whined and snapped at me. I laughed, [Damn. Finally my baby sister can go on runs with me.] Dalia bared her teeth slightly, [Shut up. I'm faster on my feet than on four paws.] I smirked, [You'd be surprised Dalia.] She grinned, [Sounds like a challenge Lily.] I winked at her and licked her cheek. She whined and nuzzled me. From behind me came a painful quiet whine. Dalia's honey brown ears perked up and she whimpered. She trotted towards them, but I quickly stepped in front of her. I growled, [You can't.] She bared her fangs at me, [Why not?! They're my friends too.]

Crimson snarled at the disrespect and she had Dalia on her back in a millisecond. Crimson pressed her fangs against her throat making Dalia wheeze for air. Crimson snarled, [You will not disrespect me Dalia and your wolf. I am above you. You will respect me!] I could smell my little sister's fear and I knew Crimson had taken over. I quickly regained control and got off of Dalia. I put myself between the Bloodstar rogues and my baby sister, [You can't because it's Elaine's law. Once you've been formally introduced to the pack and they've been accepted you can see them whenever.] Dalia lowered her ears and flicked her tail, [Okay.] I nuzzled her, [Im sorry.] She nipped my ear, [Its fine.]

Dalia walked over to Marco and I felt someone rub themselves onto my side. I looked and it was Lariat. I nudged him with my nose and licked the underside of his jaw. I heard a soft growl. Quil was between us in an instant, [Who are you?] I whined at him and I growled, [They're friends from Dalia and mine's childhood.] Quil growled, [They're rogues. And they like you.] I bared my fangs at him, [Chill out Quil. You're mine.] Quil looked at me shocked, [Are you mine?..] I looked down and shifted into my human form. I sat down, "If you want me to be.." Quil and the boys shifted into their human forms. Quil took both my hands in his, "Jackie of course I want you as mine. Your my girl. My princess." I smiled and leaned in for him to kiss me. but I heard a snarl and I felt myself being yanked back. Antonio, Lariat, Vince and Dani were standing between Quil and I snarling.

I saw Quil clench his hands into fists and his eyes turned pitch black. All of the guys were snarling and baring fangs. I immediately ran through them breaking the barrier that they had between Quil and I. I stood between Quil and the boys. Dalia growled a warning at all of the guys, but whimpered when Marco pulled her back. I yelled, "okay. This is going to be settled once and for all. Who feels the mate pull?" Lariat, Antonio, and Quil raised their hands never taking their eyes off of each other. I snapped at Vince and Dani, "Okay. Y'all go with Marco." They walked off to go with Dalia and Marco.

I looked at the three of them, "Lariat. Antonio. I have 3 kids. Damien, Saphira, and Chalice. I won't be separated from them. If you have a problem, go with the other two." None of them left. I nodded, "Okay." I looked back at Dalia and she nodded. I looked back at the guys, "Elaine will choose for me. She will see who is worthy because she is my alpha." All three of them nodded.

I saw Dalia whip her head towards the main entrance of the kingdom. I shifted and ran to where Dalia was. I saw 12 black suburbans skid to a stop and my packmates began piling out. I wagged my tail and howled. Black clothed, hair dyed, pierced faces broke out into grins and began running towards us. I snarled at Lariat, Antonio, Vince, and Dani to stay back. Dalia, Marco, Quil, and I shifted into our human forms and ran to greet our pack.

I was instantly lifted into the air. I looked down and saw CJ and Melvin yelling and hollering. Eventually all of the pack joined in and started laughing and chanting my name. I saw Elaine motion for me to be let down and she pulled me into a huge bear hug. I grinned and hugged her back. She whispered, "Please don't ever do that again. I was so worried." I grinned and pulled back, "don't worry. I'm good. I killed all the rogues and I'm still alive plus I got my kingdom back." I winked at her and Dalia cleared her throat, "OUR kingdom." I smiled and wrapped my arm around her neck, "Our kingdom. Psst. Elaine guess what.?" Elaine raised her eyebrow, "What?" I smirked, "Dalia is newly shifted, we got more guys interested in the pack, and we have a lot to do with our new pack home." Elaine's jaw dropped. I smirked and yelled, "LONG LIVE THE NIGHTSHADES!!" Everyone yelled, screamed, and laughed. I smiled and viewed my surroundings, [Our dad chose a good family.] Dalia smiled and wrapped her arms around my torso, [Yeah. He did.]
