Runaway (Jackie's Story)

Chapter 14

I was in surgery. My resistance to anesthetic was too high, so i kept waking up during the process of the pack doctor fixing something on my back. I kept getting small doses of morphine and anesthetic together so that if I woke up I wouldn't feel it. The last time that I woke up I was in the recovery room. My back was stitched shut and then I felt Dalia's rage.

Quil was asleep on the seat next to me. I got up quietly as soon as my feet touched the floor. Quil's hands were on my wrists, "Don't." I looked up into those forest green eyes that I adored so much, "Quil. Dalia is fighting." He grimaced and let me go. I ran out the door and shifted into my wolf form.

I saw Yasmin in Dalia's arms in a headlock and I hear Brittney yell, "You cheating bitch!" I saw her ahift and run towards her and I snarled. I was glaring at Britney, and I snarled, [Touch one hair in her head and your dead] Britney glared back at me and responded, [fight me bitch!]. I smirked and started running towards her. I could smell her fear. She yelped when I leaped over her and between Dalia and Brittney. I snarled baring my fangs. She lunged at me and I met her attack. We rolled and i managed to rip off a chunk of her shoulder. Her eyes wheeled with pain and she managed to hook her nails into my side and I growled. I pushed her off of me, and I lunged at her again. She caught me by the scruff of my neck and I shifted into my human form. The scruff of my neck disappeared and I roundhouse kicked her in the face. She dipped her muzzle low, disoriented by the force of my kick and I lunged at her shifting into my wolf form. I grabbed onto her neck and crushed her spine killing her instantly.

I lifted my blood stained white muzzle to the sky and howled triumphant on my kill. I turned back to see Dalia running away from Jaylin. My blood boiled and I bared my fangs and snarled. Jaylin slowly turned my way, "What?" I stood up to my full alpha princess height, [Leave her alone.] He sneered, "Why would I do that, Princess?" I shifted into my human form, "Because she has a daughter and you can't leave, come back, and then leave again Jaylin. She loved you but we left. And you never came looking for her. You guys are done." Jaylin stepped closer to me, "Who are you to tell me what to do?!" I got in his face, "I'm her big sister and your queen. So step down Jaylin." He narrowed his eyes, snapped his fingers, and they fled taking Brittney's body with them.
