Chapter 28

When I woke up I was deafened by growls, snarls, and howling. I opened my eyes and I was in a smaller cage. I heard a voice right a cross from me, "So the princess finally awakens." I sat up and growled lowly, "Where are we?" The voice scoffed, "We are in the cages where they choose the next ones to fight." My eyes widened, "So we are already at the games?!" The voice laughed, "Yes princess." I growled softly, "Did they bring two of us in here?" The voice got a serious tone, "Yeah. Collin is already fighting."
My ears caught the faint whooping and hollering of men. I snarled and shifted into my wolf form. The voice sounded sad, "I wouldn't do that princess cause then you'll be next." I whined and shifted back, "Whats your name?" The voice laughed, "My name is Daniel." I smiled, "Nice to meet you Daniel, my name is Jackie. What do you say we break outta this hell hole." Daniel laughed, "I'll be right behind you princess."

The sound of metal shifting filled the room. Wolves began snarling and growling as did Daniel. I looked around frantically, when I heard boots clicking evenly. I shrunk against my cage wall as they stopped in front of me. A leather whip hit my cage and I yelped causing all the wolves to go silent. "You. You will be next darling." His Russian accent was thick. Daniel snorted. The man's head snapped towards Daniel's direction, "You got problem?!" Daniel scoffed, "You will take her over my dead body." The man gripped my cage, "That can be arranged wolf." Daniel growled, "I will kill you before you touch her." The man smiled and opened my cage. I froze as he knelt and grabbed my right foot. I screamed and began kicking out with my left foot. I felt impact and then a string of Russian curses. He reached in and pulled me out by my hair. I landed on the ground with a thud. I groaned as my head hit another cage. The man stood before me, "I touch her. What you gonna do about it?" Daniel snarled, "You touch her and I kill you." The man got a greedy glint in his eye, "We see about that."

He grabbed my hair and pulled me up. I screamed and snarled at him. He laughed, "You dare snarl at me wolf. I make you feel real pain later." He threw me back in my cage and closed the door. He waddled out and slammed the door shut. Daniel growled, "He's such a dick. Are you okay princess?" My voice shook, "I'm fine.." Daniel sighed, "He scared you?" I nodded, biting my lip, "Yeah.." He sighed, "If it makes you feel any better, Collin's match finishes a couple of minutes ago." I stiffened, "Is he-?" Daniel laughed, "Collin won. They'll bring him back and then take you out." I clenched my hand into a fist, "Im not backing down. If I die, lead out a riot. If I don't die, I'll lead it myself." Daniel laughed, "Gotcha princess."

The metal door opened and in stepped the Russian man with two other men carrying Collin. They dropped Collin in the cage right next to my cage and the Russian man stopped in front of my cage. "She's next." I growled and bared my fangs. I saw them lift up a tranq gun and a tranq dart hit my thigh. I snarled and leaped at my cage. They yelped slightly and jerked back. I smirked as I saw the Russian man get red faced. My eyelids got heavy and I blacked out.

When I came to, I was on cement. I tried to get up but I couldn't. The ceiling was too low, I looked behind me and growled. Bars lined the entrance and I bristled. The Russian man was smiling at me, "You better turn now wolf or you will get killed." I snarled, "I'm a fighter. I won't get killed." He smirked, "It's kill or be killed." I snarled, "It'll be my pleasure." He just smiled and the gate before me opened. I stepped out into the blinding light and shifted.
