Chapter 4: Arron Yan

[Library]

(Hebe is sitting by the big window in a comfy chair reading. Selina, Calvin, and Jiro are making their way towards her. At least Jiro and Selina is. Calvin is sort of being dragged. Calvin and Jiro's groupies are, of course, following along, with Angela in the front.)

Selina: (whispering) Will you just hurry up. She won't hurt you.

Calvin: (also whispering) How do you know? She almost killed me last time for throwing down her book.

Jiro: (not whispering) So you're afraid of her now?

(Hebe hears Jiro and looks up. She sees Selina and them walking towards her, but she goes back to reading.)

Selina: Look, she doesn't even notice you.

(They reach Hebe and Selina sits in the comfy chair across from Hebe. Jiro and Calvin just stands next to Selina.)

Hebe: (not looking up) Selina, why is your cousin hanging out with you so much now? Last year and two years ago, he didn't even care to hang out with you.

Selina: (looking at Calvin) Actually, I would like to know that too.

Hebe: (laughs quietly) You don't think he likes me, do you?

Calvin: (loudly) Are you crazy?!

(Everyone in the library looks at Calvin. Calvin looks around and lowers his voice.)

Calvin: Who would like you?

(Hebe just shrugs and continues reading. Calvin turns and sees his groupies. He smiles to them and they all shriek. Jiro also turns and winks at them. The groupies shriek even louder. Mrs. Lin walks up to Calvin and them.)

Mrs. Lin: I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to ask you to leave.

Jiro: (pointing to Selina, Hebe, Calvin and him) Us?

Mrs. Lin: (points to Jiro and Calvin) You two.

Calvin: Why?

Mrs. Lin: You are making too much noise. The library is a quiet place for people to read and concentrate on their work, it's not a place for gathering.

Calvin: But we're not gathering.

Mrs. Lin: Well, you brought in a lot of noisy girls. Please, I'm going to have to ask you two boys to leave.

(Calvin gets mad and marches out of the library. Jiro gives Mrs. Lin an apologetic smile and then goes after Calvin. The groupies, of course follows. When they are all out of the library and Mrs. Lin returns to the front desk, Selina looks at Hebe and sees her shaking.)

Selina: (worried) Are you ok?

(Hebe doesn't say anything and Selina bends down to look at Hebe's face.)

Selina: Are you laughing? (Hebe doesn't say anything and just continues laughing) I see you are. Did you do that deliberately? (Hebe nods) Hebe.

(Selina starts laughing too.)

[Hebe's house]

(Hebe goes into her house and heads to her room. She goes into her room and closes the door. She then comes out dressing pretty. She goes down to the kitchen and sits down at the table. A servant lady comes up to her.)

Hebe: Hi, Jane.

Jane: Would you like something to drink Ms. Hebe?

Hebe: Could you get me some orange juice?
