Chapter 6: Here Comes Trouble

[Next Day, Hebe's House]

(Calvin and his parents walk into Hebe's house and goes to sit in the living room. Soon Hebe's parents come in and they greet each other. Then Hebe comes into the room and everyone is quiet. Calvin stares at Hebe with shock. Hebe's hair has been cut really short. It's now cut to the bottom of her neck. [NOTE: LIKE THE POSTER] Hebe smiles to Calvin's parents and sits next to her parents.)

Mrs. Chen: Hebe, you cut your hair.

Hebe: Yeah. The long hair was getting in the way.

Mr. Chen: You look really beautiful with short hair, doesn't she Calvin?

(Calvin is speechless so all he does is nod.)

Mr. Tian: Well, shall we tell the kids?

Hebe: Tell us what dad?

Mrs. Tian: Well, Calvin and Hebe. We all think that it'll be a great idea if you two got married.

Calvin and Hebe: (shocked) What?!

Mrs. Chen: Of course you won't marry right now. You'll both get more time to get to know each other.

Hebe: But...

Calvin: I....

Mr. Chen: We understand how you two might feel about this idea.

Mrs. Tian: But I'm sure you two will grow to like each other.

Hebe: (stands up) I'm gonna go to my room.

(Hebe walks out of the living room and goes upstairs. Calvin and Hebe's parents turn to look at Calvin.)

Calvin: What?

Mrs. Chen: Honey, what do you think?

Calvin: I don't know.

Mr. Chen: Do you like her?

Calvin: Of course I do, but...

(Hebe walks outside and goes over to the parking lot. She goes to Selina's car and sits on the front of the car and waits for Selina. Hebe opens her book and reads it.)

(Calvin shudders.)

Calvin: (out loud) What am I thinking?

Mrs. Chen: Calvin?

Calvin: Huh? Oh. Sure, I guess.

(Hebe and Calvin's parents smiles at each other.)

[Hebe's room]

(Hebe is sitting on her bed talking on the phone with Selina.)

Selina: (surprised) Really?!

Hebe: (disgusted) Yeah. Ugh, how can my parents even think about it?

Selina: But Hebe, that's great.

Hebe: Great?! How?!

Selina: You know, Calvin's not all that bad. I do know him.

Hebe: That's your opinion, not mine.

Selina: Do you really dislike Calvin?

Hebe: Selina, to me the man doesn't exist.

Selina: (laughs) I see. So, what are you going to do?

Hebe: Who knows. I'll just talk to my parents.

[Night, Hebe's Dad's Study]

(Hebe and Mr. Tian are talking. Mr. Tian is at his desk looking at some paper.)
