Hinata stared wide eyes at the scene before her. She just watched as one of her sensei threw kunai at her other sensei. She was panicking.
"So you found us..." Mizuki mumbled.
"Mizuki... I should've know!" Iruka look up at his comrade, masking his shock.
"Hey, Hinata! Give me the scroll, now!" Mizuki looked down at the little girl. Hinata started to piece together the situation.
"W-why?" Hinata whispered, holding the scroll tightly. Iruka stared at the girl, before looking back at Mizuki, pulling the kunai out of his body.
"Mizuki used you to get the scroll. He wants it for his own power. Don't let him have it." Hinata gasped. She started tearing up, feeling overwhelmed by the sudden danger. Mizuki laughed.
"He just doesn't want you to have the scroll." He told Hinata. She tensed around the scroll, not knowing who to listen to.
"Stop lying!" Iruka yelled. Mizuki laughed.
"I'll tell you who's lying! They all have been lying to you, ever since the decree." Iruka's eyes widened.
"D-decree?"
"No! Don't tell her!"
"The decree... No one can tell you, but everyone knows. Even Iruka. We can't tell you, that the demon is inside you! The fox that killed the Hokage, killed Iruka's parents, destroyed the village... It is you! You are the nine tailed fox!" Mizuki yelled.
"N-no..." Hinata whispered.
"Hinata!"
"No, no, no!" She cried. Mizuki raised his giant shuriken.
"Die, demon!" He threw it at the Hyūga girl. She stayed still, thinking, 'Maybe... Maybe Mizuki~san is right... Maybe I deserve to die.' She cried silently, ready to have her life ended.
"Hinata!" She snapped out of her trance, and looked up at the voice above her. She felt something drip into her jacket. Blood.
"Iruka~sensei?"
