"Iruka sensei... Why?" Hinata could feel the hot liquid running down her face. She felt weak for crying. A shinobi never cries. 'But I'm not even a shinobi...' she thought. She hated herself. Her inability to socialize, her failing almost everything she's been taught, her self-pity. What had Iruka seen? Why sacrifice his life for her!?

"Because...(this will change from the original. Duh.) You never had anyone. No one by your side. I understand that pain. Feeling as if you need something that's not there. You feel like no one will notice your pain, but you need someone to notice, to see you. You were always in the background, but wanted to be noticed, you wanted to be up there with the other clan heirs. But you never could. You think your alone, don't you? You're not alone, Hinata!"

"I-Iruk-ka~s-sensei..." Hinata didn't know what to say. She was hurt, but healed. She felt a weird mix of emotions that she couldn't comprehend. It was like getting hit in the heart with a ton of arrows, but her sensei had come to take them out. It still hurt, damn, it might have even hurt more! But she felt like she was loved.

She cried. But this time, she cried proudly. Tears were a show of true emotion, and she wanted to give it all to her sensei. 'Thank... You.' Her thoughts were uninterrupted by Mizuki's laughter.

"Please! Hinata, he's only trying to use you. The demon killed his family, and you are that demon, now! He would do anything to get that from you. Those jutsu have the power to destroy villages! What had the village ever done for you?" Hinata looked up at the man in front of her. He had hurt Iruka. He had manipulated her emotionally, and convinced her that she was a demon.

She wouldn't stand for this! She wouldn't believe him any longer! And as for Mizuki... 'He is gonna pay.'
