Omake: Neji's Adventure pt. 1

I'm going to say this, because, oml so many people ask this! Neji's personality is different! Just like the title! Because Neji's parents are alive, I am going off two things: is personality when he was young, and his personality in Shippuden. Now stop complaining and bow to me! Also Tenten has no family name, so I made one up.

"NEJI!! NEJI!! NEJI!! NEJI!!" Hinata banged on her cousin's door excitedly. She knew that Hizashi had gone on a mission and that Haruki(Neji's mom, 'cause she, just like Hinata's, has no name) was a heavy sleeper, so she banged as hard as she wanted.

She continued to bang the door until it flung open. "WHAT?!" Hinata grinned.

"I'm a ninja now!" Neji blinked twice, before smiling.

"That's great Hina~sama!" Then his smile faltered. "Except for the fact that it's THREE IN THE FUCKING MORNING!"

"Dang Neji, you don't have to shout. Do you need more sleep? Try going to sleep earlier, you're cranky when you're sleepy." Hinata said. Neji grimaced.

"Since you're here, and I'm awake now, what do you want to do?" Hinata smiled.

"How 'bout I tell you all about my day, and my new jutsu, and you tell me all about yours!"

"Come now, my eternal rival! We shall bathe in the sunny rays of youth!" Lee shouted excitedly.

"We're just going on a mission by ourselves." Neji sighed.

"Oh, let him be. You may be annoyed, but I find it charming." Tenten said, smiling brightly at the Hyūga.

"Whatever. Let's just do this." Neji opened the scroll and his teammates peek on either side. "We have to escort the Mountain Daimyo's daughter, Princess Tori(pronounced TOE-RY), to the land of waterfalls. It's B rank." He said.

"How youthful!" Lee shouted.

"Alright, let's go, already." Tenten said, walking toward the gate. Neji and Lee followed after. When they arrived at the gates, they were greeted by a woman of at least 19 years of age.

She had dark black hair and chocolate brown eyes. She wore a white kimono that was tied by a light blue obi and a light green obijime. The same green and blue colors were utilized at the bottom of her kimono, where there were feather designs. She bowed to the ninja.

"Greetings. I'm Tori. You must be my escorts." She smiled softly at the genin.

"Yes. I'm Hyūga Neji, the mission leader. These are my teammates Ruko Tenten and Rock Lee." Tenten waved and Lee winked, giving a "youthful" thumbs up. The princess nodded.

"Well, let us set off." They they walked away from the village.

The whole time, Tenten and Tori hit it off pretty nicely, Lee shouted youthful comments and challenged Neji, and Neji navigated and replied to comments with huge doses of sarcasm. Everything was pretty normal, until Neji stopped.

"Neji, is everything okay?" Tenten asked softly. Neji mumbled something in reply. "What?"

"I can't see anything." Neji spoke louder. "Some kind of jutsu is stopping my byakugan." He said, deactivating his dōjutsu.

"Is that even possible?" Tori asked.

"Well, yes!" Lee replied. "Back during the Third Ninja War, Kiri was know for having jutsus that could thwart the byakugan!" Tenten frowned.

"But we're not in Kiri." She pointed out.

"Well maybe..." The three ninja looked at each other in shock. They took defensive positions around the princess.

"What's going on?" Tori asked.

"It seems we're under attack." Neji answered. Just then, a ninja wearing a fox mask jumped out from behind a tree and strike at the princess. Lee, however, came in front of him and kick him in the jaw.

"Let's move!"
