One week has passed since the whole 'let Taylor touch my body and a little bit of my heart' thing. And I have not seen Taylor. It's not like I have been trying to get in contact with him it's just that he got to close, and right now I need some space.
From emotions mainly. On the plus - and I guess minus side – I have brought Lily up to speed on everything.
Even the bits that I didn't really want to tell she somehow hauled it out of me, now she refers to Taylor as the 'perfect man'. And doesn't stop talking about him; 'oh Taylor is so nice', 'There's more to Taylor that meets the eye', 'Taylor doesn't care about how people look, it's what on the inside to him'. But I think she's forgetting that he only said yes so I would hook him up with a Victoria secret model that I 'know so well'. I'm going to have to burst his bubble on that one soon.
My phone buzzes with another text from Taylor:
Taylor the SEX GOD:
You can't keep avoiding me because I saw you naked.
Ha. Just watch me Taylor.
Laying down on coach I attempt to nap, to try and forget the unnecessary stress I put myself under with situations that wouldn't matter if they were other people. And because I like to over think, sleep never comes, it's just me lying there and waiting for something to happen. And it does.
The door flies open with two types of laughter filling the recently silent room. Lily's laugh and a males, a familiar male laugh, one of a certain beach boy...Joseph?
My head pops up from the couch, watching the two walk in holding their stomachs in laughter. I just stared wide eyed with my eyes slightly over-exaggerated. What's Joseph doing in my house?
Lily looks up from her belly laughter and sees me staring and shouts across the room.
"Deanna I want you to meet my work friend." Work friend? Joseph works with Lily? I thought lily was an assistant for one of the big companies...so that means Joseph is an assistant, or the boss himself. And if he is the boss, drinks are on his rich ass from now on.
Joseph sees me peeking over the catch and his mouth opens in surprise. "Pick up line girl?"
Ignoring the second hand embarrassment I felt at being remembered as that I stand up on the couch and dramatically confirm his suspicion.
"Yes it is I." I speak in a royal voice. Lily's head swings back and forth between us looking confused.
"You guys know each other?" She quizzes. I hope she didn't expect me to tell her about every guy that I have hit on. Because that would be a very uncomfortable story for me to tell. I can still remember the faces of those who have become caught in my eye line. Poor souls.
"Yeah she came on to me at the beach."
Lily puts a hand on her heart, a shocked and apologetic look on her face. "Oh no, I'm so sorry." She pats his back soothingly.
Joseph puts on a downhearted expression, looking traumatised. "Apology accepted...oh, it was so horrible." He pretends to cry, leaning in to Lily's touch.
I give them a sarcastic smile. "Ha ha." I deadpan. Jumping down from the couch and walking towards the kitchen to grab some grub.
Joseph and Lily both separate, Joseph taking a seat on the counter, watching me move around looking for food. "So how are those pickup lines going for ya?"
