I stop breathing. I do not move. My body starts to tense. I tell myself to relax. It's hard to do because my body is on full alert. I hear voices coming from outside my sanctuary.

"John!" I hear a gruff voice say. His tone is serious and gravelly.

"Find the girl. We know she loves clocks. They were Stephen's favorite."

My blood runs hot. My fists ball up. I feel my whole face burn in anger. How dare he! This, this "monster" of a man had spoken her late father's name. So nonchalant, like an afterthought. I wanted to jump out from my hiding place and tear him limb from limb.

"Did you hear that?" Gravel man says. I slide as far back into the shadows as possible. My breathing slows and I feel everything. All the pain and motives. I remember why I am running. And I bolt from between the clocks.

At first, the suits are shocked.

Then, Gravel man growls, "Get her."

The rookie suits shake loose of their trance and follow me.

"Run all you want Isabelle Graves."

He smiles to show off his expensive teeth job.

"I will find you and kill you just like your mother and father."

He chuckles as I run. I won't let them see me cry. My insides are shrieking at me.

Stop! You can't win! They hiss at me. I feel defeated. But, I can't stop. Never. That means that the Suits would win. That won't do.
