"Isabelle!" I hear someone yell from downstairs. Jhase jumps three steps at a time to reach us. He is panting like a dog. "Isabelle." He says. I turn to him. "She is mute. And a toddler!" I trudge down the stairs. I don't know why I  am so upset and who at, but I am. Savanna follows us down. "I'm sorry." I whisper into her ear. She smiles and signs something else. "What... what did she say?" I stutter. Jhase sighs, smiling. "She says you are very pretty and she isn't sad about her condition. But she loves you for caring." He smiles. "She loves you too." I smile. "Love you too Savanna."

Jhase grabs my arm and pulls me into the small kitchen. " Isabelle. I am so sorry! I forgot to tell you about Sav. She was born like that, but at least she can hear us." His voice trails off as he looks down at the tile. I walk closer to him and lift his chin. He wraps his arms around me and I say, "Don't be sad Doll-face." I push away and walk back into the living room to play with the girls. He smilsas I walk away.

The rest of the night is a blur. We eat a spaghetti dinner, play Monopoly, and talk. A lot. Of course, Mollie is all about herself. "I got a 97 on my math final!" She smiles as Jen rolls her eyes. "So dramatic." Jen says. Jhase and I finally got the girls to bed.

"They are all asleep." He sighs as he falls into the couch. He smiles. "What?" I laugh. "I love you." Jhase proclaims with eyes closed, smiling. I am speechless. He takes my hand. "It's been a day, I know!" He reads my mind. "Do you feel anything for me?" He asks desperatley. I look into his sea blue eyes. I feel like I am falling into them. I brush a strand of hair out of his eyes. "More than you know." I get up to leave for bed. Jhase stops me. "Isabelle?" He grabs my hand. "What's you last name?" I smile. I sit back down on his lap. I lean in close to the side of his face. Stroking his face, I whisper, "Graves. Isabelle Graves." He holds my face close to his, then pulls me to face him. Our eyes meet, our noses touch.
