[Prologue Part 3]
"H—hey are you getting this?" Big Hat Ryan urges the cameraman before returning to his starting position.
The camera pans up two great swords laid up against the wall before cutting to Big Hat Ryan putting on his coat from behind while the dawning sun accentuates the scene. After a close up of him putting on fit black leather gloves, his hand is shown gripping the handle of one the swords. He's then shown up on the window, throwing a white smile from underneath his big hat before jumping out. The camera rushes to peer down the tower just outside the window. After Big Hat Ryan hits the floor over a thousand feet down with a thud and cloud of dust, the film cuts.
Immediately after, Big Hat Ryan is seen free falling 30,000 feet up in the air. Holding onto his hat he begins to explain. "....................." It's silent on account of the sound of the wind. After being signaled by the person behind the camera, Big Hat Ryan is overcome with embarrassment and his eyes going wide upon the realization, he snaps to create a magical air tight barrier around them. He then restarts his speech.
"When I was only twenty-seven years ago I built this kingdom from the ground up with my own two hands and for the next couple thousand years, I led this kingdom down the path of prosperity. Sure, I destroyed the kingdom that one time, but, hey, nobody remembers that do they." He laughs innocently. "And then the dragon attacked and I was kinda killed. Doesn't mean I'm weak though. I totally sacrificed myself for the people of the kingdom. Besides I let the guy that everybody hated the most become king. Boy, was that a laugh. Nah but even though I died, I came back using the body of my son and retook the throne because I'm just that good. And then I developed the modern civilization you see today. And then I gave to my son because I was depressed, and in his seven-hundred years, he didn't make much progress did he? What's a couple more buildings to this massive city? Then, he just goes and dies, taking his brothers and sisters with him. What a loser! HAHA! Anyway, I'm back for the seat of king! Me, Big Hat Ryan!!!!"
Then, he crashes into the ground in front of the podium of millions of cheering citizens happy to have the original king back. However, he's put off by the cameraman who lays plastered on the floor as a piece of contemporary art. With a wry smile stuck on his face, he slowly turns to the audience. He laughs it off as the big screens behind him take the feed from the cameras in front of him. He waves at the cheering citizens who can barely contain their excitement.
"Haha... that's right I'm back," he says to them once more.
"You know while I was sitting in contemplation last night, I came upon a realization: if I were to return and put this kingdom into a new age of development, where will that take us, for when is it that our advancements will become us? We are ever-so close to that point, a point where we can no longer claim ourselves the people we see today." Big Hat Ryan shakes his head in contempt. "When will our implacable lust for knowledge be quenched?"
Big Hat Ryan reaches down from below his podium and pulls out a strange glowing black box. He holds it high up for the world to see. "This device here is capable of granting a person the perception of a god—the ultimate advancement for humankind." He smiles deviously. "Yes, does this power frighten you, to have the end of time before your very eyes?" He conceals the box in his trench coat. "It is what I am capable of; I am, from this day forth, your god."
He walks off the stage with stone cold eyes.
