On Monday morning at recess Jesy had convinced Leigh-Anne to eat snack outside for once.  Jesy had brought a blanket and everything so they could sit on the grass in the school's garden.  She remembered spying on Leigh-Anne here just two weeks ago.

"See? Isn't this nice?" Jesy asked gesturing to the nature around them.

Leigh-Anne giggled. "It is." She said softly.  "And I like that you've come prepared with a blanket." She smiled at Jesy.

"I'm just great like that." Jesy said with blush at her cheeks. She just couldn't seem to stop blushing around Leigh-Anne. It felt like it was getting worse.  She eyed the jacket Leigh was wearing.  The school had an official blazer but Leigh took that off and put the jacket she borrowed from Jesy on.  She always wore it at recess and lunch and Jesy felt great every time she put it on.

"You're a good friend." Leigh said.

Jesy nodded and rubbed her cheek with a palm.  "So are you excited for our private party on Friday?  Are you ready to turn the big one 'O'?"

Leigh nodded eagerly.  "I'm excited.  I've even planned my next party . . . one day I'll be able to have a huge one with fountains and ice sculptures and loud music . . . it'll be amazing. I'll have a huge cake with candles that match my age."

Jesy giggled. "Sounds awesome."

"Oh and I'd obviously invite you Jesy.  You're the most important guest that'll be there." Leigh said as she looked at Jesy through her eyelashes. She blinked a few times. "You're special."

Jesy's face was on fire again.  She was smiling hugely.  "I . . . I wouldn't miss it. You're . . . special too."  She looked down at the blanket they were sitting on. "At least to me."

Leigh smiled a warm smile. "Thank you." She said. "I hope we'll be friends for all of my birthdays."

Jesy nodded. "We will be if I have anything to do with it."  She blushed at her own words. I sound kinda creepy.

"Well, well, well.  If it isn't my little sister and her stupid friend." A cold voice said from far behind Leigh-Anne.  Sairah appeared from behind a tree.

Leigh-Anne froze.  She couldn't move at all.  She felt terrified.

"Who the hell are you?" Jesy asked hopping to her feet.  She and Leigh-Anne were trying to have a moment and whoever this was ruined it.

Sairah walked towards Jesy and Leigh who couldn't seem to bring herself to even breathe.  "I'm her sister. Who are you?"

Jesy instinctively stood in front of Leigh-Anne. "You're the creep that beats on her.  You're not allowed here. Leigh doesn't like you and if we call your mother she'll have you removed."

Sairah rolled her eyes. "Why are you even hanging around this girl? She's sickly and timid.  Practically no fun at all. Plus she looks like . . . a rat."

Jesy growled. She wanted to punch this girl but she felt like she might not win if a full fight broke out. It wasn't even just the fact that she was so much smaller than her but also that the girl seemed a little off. "She's one of the most beautiful people I've seen in my life!  Don't call her a rat!"

Sairah laughed. "Beautiful?" She wiped her eyes. "That's rich."

"Go away!" Jesy yelled.

"Leigh-Anne get up." Sairah commanded.

Leigh didn't move. "No." She whimpered.  A counselor had once told her to never do what her sister asked of her if it could be dangerous at all.
