"You still haven't thanked me for bringing your bag and other stuff home for you yesterday Jesy." Jake complained as the two of them walked out of their classroom. They were the last ones to leave as the science teacher had to talk with Jesy about her recent bad grade. She got the lowest in the class on the last test and Jake volunteered to tutor her.
Jesy groaned. "Thank you Jacob." She said shoving him to the side as they walked.
"You're so selfish sometimes. I swear I could do everything for you and you won't even say a simple sincere thank you." The boy went on when he regained his balance and stopped himself from falling. "And you're so mean too. Pushing me for no reason."
"I'm mean? You're the one who randomly kissed me on the MOUTH LAST WEEK!" Jesy screamed. She still wasn't over that.
Jake rolled his eyes. "One day you'll like someone who's into someone else and you'll understand my pain." He clutched his heart in Perrie like fashion. The blonde was always so dramatic.
"What are you even talking about you idiot?" Jesy asked shoving him again.
Jake laughed. "When you're older you'll know. For now I guess I'm sorry for stealing a kiss. I just wanted to be your first."
Jesy laughed. "You watch too many cute movies." She stopped walking and frowned. "Why'd you pick then to do it? It's not like I'm in love with someone who I'll kiss soon."
Jake smirked. "Really?"
Jesy narrowed her eyes. "Yes really. If you wanted to be my first so bad you could have asked a little later . . . when I don't find the thought of you gross. We're friends I could have let you if you're gonna cry about it."
Jake laughed. "Oh Jesy. You poor naïve girl. You don't even know yourself."
Jesy rolled her eyes. "And you think you know me?"
"I do. But do not fear my sweet. Before you find out we will have our time together. Even if it'll just be a mistake on your part." Jake said putting his arm around her as they continued walking.
Jesy blushed. She had no idea what he was talking about. "Whatever doofus."
They walked out of the school building and headed towards the gate. Jake suddenly stopped. "Hey isn't that Leigh-Anne way over there?" He asked pointing to the parking lot to their very far left.
Jesy squinted. There was a girl sitting on the ground near where some of the teachers' cars were parked. "It is. What's she still doing here?" She asked already pulling out of Jake's grasp and running to where the other girl was.
Jake shook his head and smiled. "Poor naïve Jesy." He ran after her.
"Leigh-Anne! What're you still doing here?!" Jesy asked as she caught up to her friend. She panted as she stopped running. The exertion made her heart pound. She wondered if she'd beat her track record with that sprint. She was the fastest girl in their year.
"Oh hi Jesy." Leigh said with a small smile. "Where'd you come from?"
Jesy gulped in air. "Oh you know, I was just hanging around." She tried to ignore the urge to cough. What the actual hell? She asked herself. I probably look like a loser, unable to catch my breath.
"Hey there Leigh-Anne. Why are you still here?" Jake said as he reached them. He wasn't falling over like Jesy since he only jogged to get here.
"My mum hasn't come to pick me up yet . . . I think she said she had to go to court today but . . . I don't know. She should be here soon." Leigh said softly.
