"where the fuck have you been debby?! you were out for two hours. two fucking hours," alex shouted once the girl had gone inside and was greeted by him pushing her against the door.

debby reacted in the only way she knew how to and flinched, trying to curl up so she could disappear from everything.

alex punched the door right beside her head, surely leaving an indent near the many that were already scattered over the door.

"i-i just went out for fresh air. i went to the park is all." she mumbled, stuttering over her words as she tried to come up with an excuse.

"at two in the fucking morning? that's rich. you were probably hooking up with some dude who needs to get off. that's something you'd do since you're such a fucking slut." he yelled at her, calling her such degrading names like she was just a toy for his games.

"i-im not a fucking slut." she muttered under her breath, wanted to just die right then and there because no matter how much the words were affecting her she wouldn't go down without a fight.

"excuse me? i think you should shut your whore mouth before I shut it for you." alex growled, grabbing her wrists and gripping them tightly.

"fuck you." she spat. literally getting spit in his eyes.

"oh that's it." he grabbed her and wrists, tugging on her hair with the other before pulling her into the living room and pushing her on the couch.

"guysssssss where's debbyyy?" jenna whined from her spot on the floor, her legs extended as she took a sip from her caprisun.

"i don't know, i haven't talked to her since last night." josh mumbled, his head in jennas lap as he tried to solve a Rubik's cube, it being very difficult do to a few of the shades of grey looking almost identical.

"last night? when did you talk to her last night?", tyler perked up, jennas feet in his lap as he painted her nails a light baby blue.

"i-" he stuttered before he took his bottom lip between his teeth, "i was at the forest and she was there. she seemed so distant and just, gone? i don't know it's hard to explain." he shrugged, glancing up at jenna once he mentioned the forest.

jenna stiffened up before shaking it off and looked back down at josh, a 'talk to me later about this' look across her features. jenna, always so protective over her bestfriend.

"guys debby just texted me, 'who are you and why do you want my girlfriend to, "hang out" with you.'" tyler's eyes widened as he read the text he had received from the girl.

josh sat up quickly and rushed to tyler, looking down at his phone, reading the text for himself. they all had exchanged numbers the last time they hung out but debby never really texted them.

a buzz from josh's pocket made him draw his eyes away from tyler's phone to reaching in his pocket and pulling his own out, seeing the same text on it. "dude what the fuck, I got the same text." he looked at tyler and jennas faces which were almost gone of all color.

"do you think it's debbys boyfriend? it sounds like it could be." jenna hummed, looking between the boys.

"I think it is but should we call and see what's up?" tyler suggested seeing as they hadn't talked to their female friend in a while, apart from josh.

jenna hummed before nodding, calling up debby on her cell instead of the boys just in case, hearing the ring as she put her phone on spreaker.

"yes hi, debby isn't here right now but you could tell me what you wanna say and I'll pass it on." said a male voice coming through the speakers.

"um well.. i was wondering if she wanted to hang out at my place? and are you her boyfriend?" jenna bit her lip as she spoke, watching the two boys reactions as the three waited for a reply.

"i am and she can't do that right now, she's... in trouble." he muttered, a few noises being heard in the background.

"oh uh, alright well tell her to call me back whenever she can." she hummed out with a fake joyful attitude.

"yeah right, bye. i have to take care of something." he responded and with that, the call was done and all hope of talking to debby was lowered.

"what the fuck." josh muttered looking between jenna and her phone.

"dude, we have to do something about this. we can't let her go through this on her own." tyler remarked as he stood, jenna's toe nails already being dry.

"we don't know if something's really up until she tells us though. we only have guesses that we don't even know are true." jenna shrugged looking up at tyler, admiring the boy as she thought.

"well, this was fun but I'm going to go home and think of things thatll make me not suicidal as fuck." josh muttered, a fake smile plastered across his lips as he too stood up, his bag already in hand.

"josh don't go what the fuck." jenna huffed and looked at josh with pleading eyes for him to stay.

josh of course ignored them.

he was out the door in a split second, feeling very dumb for getting pissy over the situation but nonetheless walked. he walked, his path directing to his home but he couldn't help to make a turn once he had reached the forest entrance. instead of walking in he ran. he ran far and fast. he ran past the small creek that was surrounded by the tallest trees. he ran past the clearing where he had talked to debby. he ran and didn't stop until he reached the other side. he had never gone this far out but he was out of breath and could very well see the end. so taking one deep breath he walked the rest of the way there. finally managing to get out of the forest he realized that he was near the park where he had officially met debby.

shocked to say the least because what he had thought was a giant forest really wasn't as big. oh well, he thought to himself. this was his forest and it was staying that way. so with that, he carried on walking, admiring all the houses that he passed by, all of them being seemingly bigger than his own.

they were all lined up so close and almost touching. they were nearly identical apart from the paint on the walls. some were green(?) and had white doors, while others were a plain beige(?) with brown doors(?). either way they all had their trimmed lawns with beautiful and exotic flowers growing in a perfect pattern.

there was one house that seemed, off. the door was a sleek black while the house was almost fading from josh assumes what once was a bright yellow(?). to a dark grey. he wasn't very sure of it but he assumed it was indeed yellow, much like he assumed the colors of the other houses. the flowers that were sprouted like the other houses seemed almost, if not already, dead. the grass wasn't trimmed a perfect way to match the others.

the house seemed dead and empty but if you really tried and blocked out all the surrounding background noise. you could hear a faint noise coming from inside. maybe they just aren't big fans of perfect, josh thought as he walked right past, completely oblivious to the things that were going on in the house as he passed by.
