"oh my god, what the hell am i supposed to wear?" i was having so much trouble finding the perfect outfit.

ginger was helping me scope through my new closet. i had moved into the room that belonged to my mom, when her and my dad were going through a divorce. the room had a built in walk in closet, because my mom had it built in spite of my dad.

the closet was super unorganized, and i couldn't find a single outfit that i wanted to wear.

"mase, this dress looks pretty fucking familiar." ginger held up a bodycon sky blue dress, and my jaw dropped.

"it's perfect, i will worship the ground you walk on if you let me borrow it."

she handed it over, and smiled at me. "i was going to let you keep it anyways, but i don't mind being worshipped. it's really going to make your eyes stand out, put it on."

i gave ginger a hug, and held her at arms length. "you're an angel, i owe you one."

i slid my shorts off, and took off my tank top. "what time is it?" i took the dress off of the hanger, and slipped it over my head.

ginger pulled the bottom of the dress down, before checking her phone. "it's 7:50."

fuck.

i looked myself in the mirror, and turned around. "what do we think?"

ginger adjusted the bottom of the dress a little more, so the hem reached my knees.

"masen, you look fucking amazing. thank me later, wear your tan heels. your hair looks good,  too, it's a nice mix of sexy and messy." ginger picked up my tan pumps from one of the shelves, and handed them to me.

"he's going to be here soon, thank you so much for helping me. love you." i held onto ginger, and slipped on both shoes.

"just relax, mase. everybody is going to love you, they would be dumb not to."

as soon as the doorbell rang, my heart started racing.

"go answer it, doofus. your man is waiting for you."

i rolled my eyes, and got up. "you're lucky that i'm letting you housesit with your man. please don't do anything gross."

i made my way over to the door, and took a deep breath before i opened it.

"JESUS CHRIST. MASEN ELENA, OPEN THE DOOR RIGHT NOW."

ginger really hated it when i stalled things.

i unlocked the door, and opened it as slowly as i could.

deep breaths, masen.

honestly, i had no idea what to do when i saw ethan. he was wearing all black, and he was actually wearing jeans today. i have never seen him wear anything other than shorts or sweats.

"i'll take good care of her, have fun tonight," ethan waved at ginger, and took my hand.

i intertwined my fingers with his, and we made our way to the car together.

"you look... so amazing..." i really was at a loss for words. to be fair, i would probably still be acting this way if he was wearing footie pajamas, or something.

he turned to face me, and placed his hands on the small of my back. "you look like a five course meal."

i tried my hardest not to laugh, but i failed miserably. "did you REALLY just say that?"

he rolled his eyes, and moved his hands to my hips. "i said what i said, princess."

ethan had the sneakiest little smile on his face. he leaned in, and whispered in my ear, "don't think that i'm gonna go easy on you at dinner. you're gonna sit next to me, okay?"

i could feel my face heating up. "you wouldn't do that. you wouldn't, especially not in front of your mom and your sister..."

he raised his brows, and chuckled. "oh, but i would."

grayson opened his car door, and made his way over to us. "mom and cameron are already on their way, so we need to get going."

he looked at ethan, and then at me. "jesus, would you like to stop undressing your girlfriend with your eyes? that's creepy, man."

he made sure that ethan was in the car, before he spoke to me.

"hey, masen. i just wanted to say... thank you for making my brother so happy. he's really looking forward to formally introducing you to mom and cameron."
