Molly held Carly's hand as they walked into the hospital. Molly spoke to the lady at the desk and soon enough they were in Carly's parent's room. They were laying in separate beds across from each other, wires attached to each of them all over their bodies, and bruises absolutely everywhere. All Carly could do was try to hold in her tears, not breaking down into a mess.
There were no one else in the room with them. Carly gave Molly this look saying, "could I please be alone with my parents?" She nodded, walking out of the room. As soon as she stepped out, she could hear Carly crying.
She didn't want anyone to see her cry. When she cried, she became a mess. She didn't like it.
Molly walked back in once she didn't hear any more crying, but could see tear streaks on the little girl's face.
"Will they be okay?"
"I'm not sure. All we can do is pray and hope that everything will be okay."
Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Carly silently praying next to her.
After a while, Molly took Carly home.
"I don't want to do home!" The child screamed, crying, just wanting to be with her parents.
"We have to! We'll come back tomorrow, I promise."
"Promise?"
"Yes. Now come on, it's late and you need your sleep."
When they got home, Molly tucked Carly into bed. Molly hoped she could get some sleep, she really needed it, but she didn't. Carly couldn't sleep. She wanted to be with her parents. She missed them. She didn't know if she would ever see them again.
