"I thought this was a family dinner?" Jo Insung whispered to his sister as he noticed his "fiancé's" family seated at their dining area, while the latter just shrugged as she didn't have an idea as well. "Is this about the fucking wedding again?" He asked again.

"Just deal with it, Insung." Jiah, his older sister, answered.

The siblings could already feel the tension rise as they walked through the hallway of their mansion. The sound of utensils clashing with their ceramic plates was already heard, and it was accompanied by laughs and small chitchats by men with familiar voices.

Everything went silent as the patriarch noticed his children standing across their dining table. "Insung!" He stood up from his seat and hugged Insung, ignoring Jiah.

Insung looked back at his sister slightly, and she just gave him a small smile and nodded at him slowly.

"You two just arrived on time." Their mother said and hugged Jiah. "We haven't seen you in a while."

"I just got a little busy, mom." Jiah replied.

"Same here." Insung said.

"Let's eat? I asked our cook to prepare your favorite dishes." Mr. Jo broke free from their hug and went back to his seat. "Sit next to her." He said to Insung, he was referring to Kim Minhee, the youngest daughter of Kim Mincheol, the owner of one of the most famous hotels in the country: Paradise Hotels and Resorts.

Yet, Insung did not follow him. He sat between his mother and Jiah instead, it was across Minhee.

Insung already knew Minhee way back during their high school days because their families also have a strong bond since their fathers have been business partners-turned-best friends as well.

"Come on, Insung. Talk to her." His mother whispered to him from his side, which Jiah also happened to hear. Insung looked at his sister, trying to seek help. Jiah shrugged at him playfully, as if to say that he was on his own now.

"So, have you already talked about your wedding date?" His father asked.

"We haven't talked about it, sir," Minhee answered. After that, everyone else looked at Insung, waiting for his response.

It was more pressuring at this point. He let out a sigh and dropped his utensils slowly. "We can't push through this marriage." He said.

"Insung." His mother called him out.

"I already met someone else. We've been seeing each other for a while now." He continued. After a while, he stood up and went to Minhee's father. "I'm sorry, sir." Then, he bowed at him.

Jiah, on the other hand, looked at their father, who seemed to be fuming mad already. She immediately signaled at Insung to apologize as their eyes locked at each other, but he did not bother.

"I will leave now." Insung bowed once again and turned his back at everyone. Jiah stood up to stop her brother from leaving, but their mother held her hand right away to stop her instead since their father had already followed Insung.

"That man might hurt Insung." Jiah insisted and forced her mother to let go of her wrist. After doing so, she followed Insung and their father outside their house.
