My phone rings.
"Hello?" I ask.
"It's me." A voice echoes down the device.
"Yes. It's you, but who is this?" I ask.
"It's me, Alice Cooke, The Doctor." The man says, hoarsely.
"What do you mean The Doctor?"
"I'm phoning you from the day before I changed. Not long now. I can feel it." He says.
"Why, why did you do this?" I ask.
"Because I think it's gonna be a whopper! And I think you're scared, Alice."
"Yes. I'm very scared. As scared as anyone." I cry.
"Yes, but the man you should be with right now, the Doctor. He's more scared than anyone else right now."
I look over at the TARDIS and run back towards the old man.
"He needs you!" The Doctor whispers.
"Who's that?" The new Doctor snaps.
"Is that the Doctor?" Asks my doctor.
"Is that the Doctor?" Asks the new Doctor. "He sounds old. Please say I didn't get old, anything but old! I was young! Is he grey?" Says my doctor.
"Yes." I reply.
"Alice please, for me, help him. And don't be afraid." He answers.
I look at the new doctor.
"Goodbye Alice, I'll miss you..." the doctor says and hangs up."Well!" The new doctor says.
"What!?" I back away.
"He asked you a question!"
"Why were you listening?" I answer.
"I don't need to that was me talking. You can't see me can you? You look at me and you, you can't see me!" The new doctor remarks, "do you know what that's like? I'm not on the phone, I'm right here. Standing in front of you! Please just see me!"
I stare at him, through his heart and soul, it is him!
"Doctor, goodbye. Good luck, My time with you is up." I hug him but he doesn't hug back. This doctor is different. Almost cold. I back off and run away, ready to start a new adventure.
