Lanoir Swells tried to keep her footing as she stumbled in and out of the large crowd. The six-inch heels she wore painfully pressing into her sore feet. Pushing against the dancing bodies she walked closer towards the exit. She needed some air. Lanoir regretted ever coming to this night club. She should have been so easily swayed. But Lisa was a smooth talker, being one of the best lawyers in town proved her point.
It was Lisa twenty-sixth birthday and she had insisted that they head over to the "Playroom" Lanoir had tried to tell her that she didn't mix well with the club atmosphere. But Lisa had begged her all day and reminded her that it was her special day and she had the right to be a snotty princess. Lanoir and Lisa had been best friends for ten years now and she didn't want to disappoint so she agreed.
But now she needed to go. Lisa had found herself a cute blonde who's abs could melt a chocolate bar on a winter night. So that left her standing awkwardly in the middle of the dance floor trying to act normal. She had decided to leave when the third hand rubbed against her butt. Finally reaching the metal door she pushed against the door and took a deep breath as she took in the fresh air. Leaning against the side of the building she smoothed down her teal dress. Lanoir had thought that the dress was a little revealing. But she couldn't deny how good she looked. Her waist length honey brown hair was parted down the middle in soft waves. While her eyes were covered with dark browns and golds and her lips were painted in a soft gloss. The dress reached her mid thigh and had a sparkle thin fabric on top of the heavy fabric that was teal.
Reaching down she plucked off the nude heels and set them to the side. The door to the club was open and out stepped a woman who could barely stand. Her hair was braided in neat tight rows. And she wore the shortest red dress. That looked more like a nightshirt than a dress.
" Hey, you! I saw you dancing with my Man. You Hoe's are all the same. Get your own man." she slurred while jumping towards Lanoir. Her training coming to mind she grabbed her wrist and twisted her arm behind her back.
"Let me go you stupid Bitch," she screamed in pain as Lanoir tighten her grip. Pushing the lady away.
"I don't know what you're talking about. I never danced with your man. You should tell him to keep his hands to himself." she said while grabbing her heels. Slipping them back on she started to make her way home. She didn't have time for such foolishness.
Shuddering from the cold she wrapped her arms around herself and walked the block towards her home in the middle of the night in heels that were cutting into the heel of her feet. To pass the time she started to hum a song. She wondered what she would do tomorrow on her day off. She would surely have a slight hangover. She was never a heavy drinker and after the one glass of alcohol, she had consumed in the bar her head was spinning. If it wasn't so quiet and empty outside Lanoir wouldn't have heard the muffled screams coming from the alley to the right off her.
She stopped in her tracks, wondering if she was hearing things. Not hearing anything else she was about to keep walking when she heard it again. It was louder than the last, Maybe it was just a stray cat? Or worse it could be someone in need of help? God was she being stupid! Someone could rob her or worse murder her and here she was pondering if she should enter a dark alleyway in the middle of the night!
But what if someone was bleeding to death? Taking a deep breath she cursed her stupidity and walked into the area. Looking around she stopped as her brown eyes landed on two men. The older men had graying hair and was kneeling in a suit that looked like it cost more than her car. While the second men wore all black and were standing behind the men. Looking closely Lanoir realized that the older men were bleeding heavily from his temple and his lip was busted. She couldn't really see what the second man looked liked because his face was covered by a black masked that only allowed her to see a piece of skin and his eyes.
She watched as the man quickly chopped his hand into the side of the man's neck and he crumbled to the floor. Standing up to his full height she looked on in shock as he turned his gaze onto her.
Raising her hands up in defense, she took a hesitant step back. "Uhh... I didn't. Woah you're a big guy." she rambled. She was about twenty feet away and she could see how broad his shoulders were massive. Lanoir could clearly see that this man was powerful.
Lanoir knew that she had made a major mistake coming into this alleyway. This beast of a man could probably crush her with one hand.
"How tall are you?" she asked. "I'm pretty short myself only 5'4'. My mom was a tall lady and my dad but not me I guess." shut up ! she screamed to herself as she rambled about her small height.
She stopped rambling when she saw him take a step towards her. Not thinking she flung her silver clutch at his head and took off running. Not realizing that all her money, wallet and house keys were in that bag.
