Everything seemed to move in slow motion for Lanoir. Even if she didn't want to do anything but life moved on. After staying in her house for a week she had decided that she couldn't go on like this she needed to get out the house and start her life again.
Walking to her home office she turned on her computer and waited for the machine to start. She needed a faster model but didn't feel like looking for one. She was behind in work and needed to catch up before it became too much. Opening her planner she noticed that she needed to start on filling out her monthly reports and had a few clients to visit to make sure their security was doing its job.
Grabbing the mouse she clicked through her emails and responded to them. Her heavy heart still played on in the back of her mind but her work kept her busy.
...
Grasping the four leashes she walked down the stone path to the dog park. Lanoir had came to the hard realization that she needed to go on with her life. Even if her heart was heavy with longing and sadness. She needed to have faith that he would return to her and she did. Reaching down she reached over and unclicked the leashes from their harness and released her babies.
Dirt and grass flew under their paws as they ran around chasing each other. Closing her eyes she enjoyed the Sun. It was a lovely day and the sky was clear. Looking over she smiled as her fur babies played around. She was happy that they had returned home from their dog camp, she was very lonely without their company. Reaching over into her bag she grabbed a green and purple spotted ball and tossed it far. Laughing she reached over and grabbed the ball, balancing herself so she wouldn't fall over as her dogs jumped on her in excitement. Throwing the ball again she laughed as Bella tripped over her feet sprawling into the grassy field. Duchess the fastest was able to retrieve the ball and brought it back her tail wagging in excitement. shaking her head she reached down and retrieve the ball once again repeating the process. After a hour of playing catch she called them over to give them a small bowl of water once done she packed up and put on their leashes ready to head home.
Lenoir was happy that she enjoyed her time at the park. she had been sad in distance for about a month now but she knew that she would have to continue with life even if her heart was hurting. reaching the block she noticed that Lisa was parked in her driveway rolling her eyes she dreaded the conversation that she was in store for her. Lenore had been ignoring all phone calls if they did not relate to work she didn't want to be bothered with anybody else until she was ready to be bothered. but Lisa being Lisa would not leave her alone, I guess that's what best friends are for. once she was by the steps of her house Lisa open her the car door instead out her arms folded against her chest and her face was pouted up. she was angry and upset, ignoring her until she reached her door she unlocked the door and allow dogs leaving the door open she felt Lisa follow her into the hous.
"So are you going to tell me what the hell's wrong with you." she's snapped with an attitude.
rolling her eyes Lenore contain to ignore her while getting a bottled of water. she honestly didn't have anything to say not that it was any of her business anyway. why couldn't people get the hint that she didn't want to be bothered at the moment. she knew when to ask and when not to ask but clearly Lisa didn't know. the nor understood that she was playing the role of the concerned friend but at the moment she did not care who understand. she wanted to be left alone with her sad thoughts and her memories. but she wasn't a mean person and maybe she should talk to someone. Of course she wouldn't say that she was on the run and they were trying to kill her but she would tell her that she was having some guy troubles. Maybe it would help get it off her chest and make her feel better.
Turning around she decided to spill, " Okay I'll tell what's been bothering me but you just have to listen before you scold me and tell me I should have told you before all of this happened and all of that got it." she said
Lisa just nodded her head she could tell that the situation was serious. pulling out one of the high chairs she sat down and waited.
"all right tell me what's up."
Okay so about a couple of months ago I met a guy. and the arrangement wasn't normal but it worked. you know the night after leaving your party I was walking home and he was the one Who found my wallet. and after that we will talk to you and you had a lot in common but recently something has come up and He had to leave. and before he left he said something to me that I didn't expect I don't know why but I have plenty of opportunities to tell him how I feel and I dinner. and I know if I'm ever going to see him again.
so you're telling me and now you're sad because you can't tell. come on now I'm a lawyer doesn't even add up, what's the real story." she asked.
"I can't tell you the whole story but just know that I really care about him and I don't know what to do. and I know I can't keep going on the way I have but I worry what if he never comes again. what if he died and I never see him again then what am I supposed to do. I've never felt this way about anyone and I can't contemplate living in the world without him." She said with tears in her eyes.
Lisa just looked at her with a weird look then nodded her head. Okay I get it you don't have to tell me the Kohl's story. but you're my best friend and your happiness is the only thing that is important to me. and if you and this mystery guy are supposed to be together it will work out. I believe In faith lanoir and I think the world has away of working everything out for the best. You deserve happiness and if you found it in him than I fully support the relationship." she said while standing to give her best friend some much needed comfort.
