Lexa/Reader
Clarke/Reader___________________________________
You stand quietly next to Lexa, leaning a bit closer to her when she adjusts her arm around your waist.
The ceremony was oddly beautiful, not to mention huge.
Lexa had invited all twelve Clans and made it mandatory for anyone of importance to be sitting in Polis today watching the commander wed.
You were Lexa's second in command now, her wife, her unofficial queen.
Yet, with all the beauty and excitement of the day you couldn't help but wish it were still Clarke by your side.
Lexa had worked so hard to make peace for you, to perfect every detail of this day so it was memorable and nice for you.
She more than understands that her proposal to you ruined the relationship you had with the good doctor, but in her opinion you'll be much happier as the commanders wife.
Lexa knows that you were Clarke's most trusted advisor on the ground, that having you on her side will keep the peace with the sky people better than any promises she could make alone.
Your people love you, dearly.
In fact, when you were sent down with the 100 many families and faculty wept for you, you were an honor student and you often volunteered for anything you could to do good.
You'd take rations to families with disabled or older family members so they wouldn't have to leave their quarters.
You'd volunteer in the Ark's nurseries more often than anything else, seeing as how you loved the children.
You were close friends with Clarke growing up seeing as how your family lived only about four doors down from the Griffin's.
When you were thirteen Clarke asked you to go with her to the Ark's Christmas Banquet as her date.
You said yes, and you were minutes late showing up because you just couldn't decide between the black and red dresses your mother had picked out for you.
You ended up choosing the black dress, Clarke wore a blue one that she looked absolutely stunning in.
Later on, the two of you excused yourselves to go explore the rest of the Ark.
You both knew the place well, seeing as how it was your home, but there were a few turns and pathways you were less familiar with to still scope out.
Clarke grabbed your hand and held it firmly after letting your fingertips graze so many times you lost count.
You'd been "absent mindedly" letting your hand graze hers since you'd left the dining hall.
She didn't get the hint until half an hour later, walking past a few windows looking out into the blank of space.
Even living on the Ark your whole life, you loved looking outside or learning about Space.
It was a wonder to you, how something could be so vast and mysterious.
Space was such a beautiful thought for you and Clarke was well aware.
She found it adorable, but it also amazed her how space still amazed you.
You were so many things to her in that moment.
That was the first time she ever kissed you, it wasn't expected, at least not by you, but it was magical.
Your parents loved the relationship, and so did everyone on the Ark.
You and Clarke were both beauty and brains, the children of doctors and herbologists, not to mention, two of the sweetest children in your generation.
