Octavia returned a few hours after Leksa and I ate brunch and she fit right in with my people.
A few days have passed now and the grounders haven't suspected a thing.
A few lower level gaurds have even been somewhat respectful toward her, thinking of her as high ranking member of my gaurd. She has been doing extremely well with both Laiah and La'ika, after bonding with them and staying in my tent with them at night since it's bigger than the gaurd's tent she's been appointed.
She seems to be inclined to the nature of the wolves, usually roaming with them late at night and she's been accompanying me on my morning run through the woods and to the stables.
"Hey, O." She smiled as she jumped off her saddle and hit the ground. "What's on the agenda?"
"What?" I asked, fixing the saddle on La'ika's back.
"What are we doing today?" She scoffed, tossing her hair around playfully.
"You are traveling with Clarke as her protection today, so listen closely to Ash'on. I have to finalize my opinion for the trial in writing. I will be working in Heda's office until the documents are finished, though you should be by with Clarke and Ash'on a few times." I rambled on, mounting my wolf. "If you come face to face with the Commander, look professional, do not look her in the eye, and do not speak, for the love of gods, Octavia.. Do not open your mouth in front of her. Your accent may fool her gaurds but she knows better the tone of my people and she would know you were not one of us."
"Gotcha.." She gasped, eyes wide as she mounted her wolf, effortlessly.
"Ready, Captain?" Ash'on laughed, riding up to us sporting Clarke on the back of his wolf, B'ai. (Bye)
"Auk'tava.." I nodded to Octavia as she mounted Lai'ah's saddle.
She nodded back to me as I mounted La'ika's and the four of us rode out of camp and into the forest.
"Will Queen Vi'tolia be traveling to the capitol for the trial?" Ash'on asked as we rode next to each other.
"Isn't Victoria your gypsy aunt?" Octavia added.
"Vi'tolia.." I corrected her. "She was a river dancer.. They're wondering shawman. I have yet to be informed of her travel plans.."
"I believe you would be the first to receive that information Ash'on.." I teased. "You are the royal messenger after all.."
"Auk'tava shows potential, Prisa. A messenger to be, perhaps.." He admitted.
"Oh? Is that cool or something?" She asked with a grin.
"A messenger of the royal family is a very powerful status.. You must earn the trust of our royal family to earn your title.. It's a highly decorated job." I explained. "Though, a big responsibility, it can be.. Quite full with its many advantages."
"You would do well, Underling.." Ash'on chuckled."
"Cool." She nodded with a thoughtful smile, taking the lead with Lai'ah.
Ash'on and Clarke followed on B'ai, leaving La'ika and I to take up the rear gaurd.
"Cap'n." Ash'on barked, alerting La'ika and I as we reached the perimeter of the camp.
There was a group of grounders there, high ranked if the armour tells.
La'ika stopped to sniff the air a bit before yipping and wagging her tail.
"Heda is here.." I stated and questioned at the same time as La'ika and I continued down the hill to the stables.
"Heda.."
