"Cap'n." Auk'a interupted as I was picking through documents.

"Auk'tava you have an uncanny way of showing me no respect whatsoever, and yet.." I pondered. "I have no intent to kill you, please tell.. Why is that?"

"I'm sorry, Cap'n, I never meant you any disrespect." She admitted with a slight smile. "Ash'on has news."

"Well, he is the messenger.."

"From your Auntie, Vi'tolia." She smirked. "She'll be here within the week, he's getting ready for a trip to Volkan Valley-"

"Volkan Valley is what Gonda call our home, Auk'tava. We know it as Viv Hom'an Volkanna Nashi'hunal."

"Lively homeland for wolf-humans? Everything in your native language still seems so literal.." She scoffed. "Tach'a asked me to bring this to you."

"You are learning much from him. It is almost too bad you are still so stubborn.. Perhaps a few of days in the Valley would teach you discipline.." I thought aloud.

"You.. You would want me to-"

"After the trial, I may have you escort my Auntie home.. Ash'on can show you around our villages."

"I would be honored, Princess." She stated, taking a saluted stance.

"You are free to go, Underling. Have Ash'on meet with me before leaving, I will be in the capitol." I ordered. "While he is gone, sadly you will be ordered to stay on our camp grounds. I can not trust just anyone with your safety so you will have to start traveling with me. If I must attend Trikru matters, you will just have to stay here with La'ika and Lai'ah."

"Yes cap'n." She frowned with a nod, leaving my tent.

I let out a deep sigh, kicking my feet onto my desk and relaxing a bit in my chair.

Today had been so full of documents and sitting and Leksa's officials running in and out of my tent.

"Oun'hura?" Clarke called quietly as she peaked into my quarters.

"Yes?" I chirped happily, finally a mind I couldn't sway with fear.

"How is everything?" She asked in a strange tone, sending a worried glance toward the entrance.

I looked between her and the door, something in her demeanor telling me to look outside.

I listened for someone behind the furs, taking a look back at Clarke, who nodded to me.

I pulled the fur back quickly, catching my wife slightly off gaurd.

Her eyes widened slightly before she straighted her posture.. Her face seeming cool, yet playful, while her body language held a more business casual attitude.

"Heda-"

"This is business.." She shrugged with a soft tone in her voice, she almost smiled.

"Leksa-" I warned her with discretion laced in my voice.

She nodded to me, letting me know she would be on her best behavior.

"So Clarke, you were saying?" I asked, back to my usual happy behavior.

"How is everything?" She asked again, more at ease.

"Other than being buried to the nose in documents?" I sighed. "I have been working on a proposal for the counsil.."

"What kind of proposal?" The sky princess questioned.

"Well-"

"My people want you dead.." Leksa stated obviously, making me roll my eyes.

"Yes!" I announced, faking enthusiasm. "Thank you, Heda."

"Half of my kingdom wants your death, half of my kingdom knows nothing of your existence, and my.." I sighed. "Heda.. Has put me in charge of pleasing the masses.."

"What does that mean?" Clarke asked intently, handing me a mug with some wine from my cabinet.

I leaned back in my chair, kicking my feet up on the desk as I sipped a little wine.

Clarke prepared one for Leksa as well, who sent me a glare.

I nodded, taking another sip of wine as Clarke sat down with a bit of herbal tea I had prepared in a clay jug my Aunt had made for me.

"No wine?" Leksa questioned, an eyebrow raised as she smelled the glass.

"If you'd like some tea or to pour it yourself, I'd be just as happy to-" Clarke sassed, sadly I had to stop her.

"She can drink the wine." I assured. "Clarke is not that stupid.. Ai Hodness. She would not try to kill you while we are discussing the survival of her nation.."

"Is that the only time she would not try to kill me? Ai Hodness?" She smirked.

I rolled my eyes once more, taking another drink.

"So what have you come up with?" Clarke asked, ignoring a glare from my wife.

"Glad you asked.." I smiled, taking another swig. "Nothing."

"Nothing?" Leksa giggled slightly.

"The very same." I agreed plainly.

"But-"

"Clarke, I have to be honest." I frowned slightly. "I do not have much room available within trikru law to save your friend for what they did.. What I do have, is an almost flawless law for your people to integrate into the Valley-""

"You do?" Leksa questioned, no longer finding it funny.

"I do." I stated, looking through a bit of the canvas on my desk. "If the numbers that Clarke has provided are correct, we should be able to move most of Skaikru into the bottom of our valley. My only concern, of course.."

"Is?" Clarke asked.

"You would have to surrender all the weaponry your country has to Volkru in the very nape of the Valley.." Leksa stated with a bored expression. "Which would be miles away from your civilization and you would be surrounded and protected by giant wolves for the rest of your days here. Well.."

"Until your people exterminate them that is.." She faked a smiled toward Clarke.

"Bants Osir! Heda.." I snapped. "Or relax."

She stood, obviously frustrated before storming wordlessly out of my tent.

Clarke swallowed thickly, taking a sip of her tea as I gulped down the rest of the wine in my cup, taking Leksa's with me into my pursuit.
