Earth was nothing like what they'd said it was on the Ark..
They said it would be baron, and bare. There can be no life on Earth, the Ark was sure of that.
So.. Alike many other words and actions before and after that statement was made, the Ark was simply wrong.
Earth survived the same as we all have, all this time.
I was supposed to float..
I had helped almost all of them, but when they caught me trying to help Finn and Raven.. I just threw him under the bus.
It was two days after my birthday but I knew the consequences and I knew they'd pin me as an accomplice for helping everyone else.
I didn't get the chance to say goodbye to Clarke, or tell her I loved her.
I didn't chance writing a note to tell her what I was planning either. I didn't want them to float Bellamy for helping me excape.
It was an old pod, barely working other than the fact that it could seal and it's structure was still completely in tact.
I had hooked up system of jets with Reyes and wired a control panel inside the chamber, she was still working on programing it so the controls weren't in manual and it could connect wirelessly to the Ark, but she hadn't implemented the algorithm yet.
It was going to be her shuttle for longer and more efficient Zero-G missions, but I was the only engineer who knew how to operate it in manual other than the computer queen herself, and I knew it had just enough fuel to push me down to earth.
It wouldn't make it out of the space station without a push though, so in a few hours I had to somehow rig a force strong enough to push a four hundred pound metal turd at least three-fourths of a mile through space before I could even start driving it.
Not only would I have to boost it outside the radius of the Ark, but I would also somehow have to steer it toward Earth that far and at first I had no idea how to do that.
I managed to make some high powered rockets with scrap but it took too long to be able to test it, before I had to just put everything together.
I was really banking on all those years I spent as Reyes' left leg as I climed into the little death trap but I had confidence in the mission outside of the booster I had rigged.
I figured I was either going to kill myself or be floated, and I really didn't want to be floated so I set the rockets off and prayed for the best.
I didn't make it as far as I wanted to before the booster gave out but I made it far enough and I was moving fast toward Earth.
I didn't even need all the fuel in the tank, only about a half tank to steer and to boost until I hit atmosphere.
I fell to Earth like a comet, my shuttle was EMPed shortly after reentry so I just fell a thousand or more feet to the ground with no barrings, whatsoever.
My pod landed just outside of a village, it was on the outskirts of a place they call TonDC, and it was transported to the capitol as a gift for the commander.
To the people, the commander received a five hundred and twenty pound ball of metal from the gods and so she accepted it.
They moved it down to a room deep within the heart of their tower, a room dedicated to something huge.. The true history of our worlds.
I was found by a cowardly man. They call him Titus and his job is to protect the Commander's spirit and therfore it's assets.
My title in the field was Com-Comander, but my name tag just said commander, so when the giant metal ball opened because the oxygen inside ran out, and a girl with his leaders name on it fell out, I was considered the Heda's property.
