Chapter 19-

"Wow barely anyone's even here yet."

Tyler commented on the scene around us as we arrived at the school checking in with the tickets we bought before tonight.
Amanda had went ahead dragging Grant along with her to one of the empty tables claiming it before anyone else did. Homecoming at Dawson was always held in the gym so they just pulled in a couple tables along with some chairs to put around the room. She waved the rest of us over and the three of us girls put down ours clutches and phones as we took a seat.

"Do you want me to get you a drink?"

Connor stood up nodding his head towards the food and drink table that was set up by the dance committee.

"I'll come with you."

He waited for me to stand up before the two of us walked across the room over to the table looking at what they had set out.
There was an assortment of snacks but Connor grabbed two solo cups filling up one with the punch. Before handing me the one he just filled up, he shrugged remembering what Aaron had told us lifting it up to his mouth to take a sip.

Raising a brow, I gave him a questioning look wondering if it was spiked yet or not.
Nodding his head, he handed me the cup before filling up another one for himself.

"You're in luck. Barely anyone's here so nothing's wrong with it...yet. It probably will be later though."

"Thanks."

Taking a sip, we made our way back to the table letting everyone know that the punch was fine but to probably steer clear of any weird looking or smelling foods they laid out.

I took my seat with Connor beside me as I took a look around the gym my eyes landing on the makeshift dance floor where the hired dj was set up.

"Well, we shouldn't sit here all night and lot more people are starting to come in so come on."

Amanda took the last gulp of her drink Grant got for her before pulling up Mia and I to go to the dance floor with her. The guys all stayed put at the table watching us before Amanda went back to the table to drag the three of them over to us.
My best friend could be pretty scary or demanding if she wanted to be.

It wasn't like we could talk much on the dance floor anyways since the DJ's speakers were super loud for the music playing so we'd have to yell to be able to hear one another.

I was probably either gonna lose my voice by tomorrow for all this screaming, go deaf from the loud music, for regret so much dancing in these heels.

Laughing, all of us just goofed around dancing, jumping up and down, and having a good time as more and more people started to come in and fill up the space around us.

The dj's set list was pretty random since he kept saying he would take song requests until he played the first slow song of the night.
Connor held out his hand gesturing to me if I wanted to dance and I nodded placing my hands on his shoulders. His hands rested on my waist as we sort of swayed back and forth. Truth be told, I don't know how to slow dance let alone actually dance so I just followed his movements.

It was a good thing I was wearing pretty tall heels tonight too since he was a lot taller than me. With my heels on, my eyes came to where his nose was but I looked up into his eyes.
