Chapter 28-
"Stop number two of tonight."
The sun was still setting as I looked out the window seeing that we were now in the L.A. Arts District.
"What are we going to do here?"
I rolled my eyes smiling to myself when Connor went ahead and opened my door again for me. I took in all the sights since I actually hadn't been here in a while.
"You're the photographer, so we're going to explore your passion."
"And how are we supposed to do that? I don't even have my camera with me."
"I've got that covered."
He flashed an excited grin opening up his trunk and there my camera was, sitting neatly there waiting. Confused, I shook my head a little impressed that he really did think everything out.
"How did you even get my camera weirdo."
"Aaron gave it to me."
"Stupid brother."
"C'mon, you know you want to take pictures."
"Okay, okay fine."
I took my camera from his hands after he grabbed it out of the trunk holding it out to me. I took my time walking around taking in all the wall art, the people, the shops, and little restaurants. There was a lot to do here and I immediately ventured off into the crowd taking pictures of anything and everything. I managed to get a few of Connor some where he was looking, and some where he wasn't. He followed closely on my right and after a little more than a dozen photos, he gripped my hand that wasn't holding the camera.
"Let me get some pictures of you now."
"I don't think so."
"Why not?"
"I don't know..."
"Please?"
After a bit of hesitation, I handed over my camera to him. I pretty much just walked around like he did, stopping in a few spots for him to take a picture. Handing it back to me, I clicked through looking at all the photos pretty impressed.
"You're not that bad at this whole thing it turns out."
"Got to be good at something, you know?"
As I continued to look through the photos, I could feel his gaze on me. I glanced up at him seeing he had a small smile on his face, not saying a word.
"What?"
"Nothing...I just think it's nice to see how you get when you're doing something you love."
"What do you mean exactly?"
Connor nodded his head towards the direction of where his car was parked and grabbed a hold of my hand walking us back in that direction while we talked.
"I don't know, you're just very cute when you're passionate about something."
I felt my face heat up as I reached up closer to him pecking him on the cheek.
"Stop complimenting me to see me get all embarrassed."
"I can't help it sorry."
He let out a small laugh but looking into his eyes, I saw how sincere and awestruck he looked just from talking about me. My heart raced at the thought of it and he continued to drag us back to his car still looking excited as ever for the rest of the night.
"Time to get to our third destination of the night."
"To be honest with you, I wouldn't have minded us doing something simple for our date you know?"
