Round 2:Failed;Round 3: Finish Them

I sat in the waiting room of the doctors office. I had just got done giving blood for the drug test. The doctor steps out and calls me into his office. I took a seat in front of me as he opened up my file. "Mr. Downey, I have here your blood test results. We found traces of Rohypnol in your system. Don't worry it will wear off in a few hours or so." he said. "What's that? Is it a drug?" I asked. "Rohypnol is a drug. If you are familiar with the term "roffie" or "date rape" that's what it is." I hid my face behind my hands and groaned. Josie, drugged me! "Oh my God! I can't believe this happened. Can I get a copy of that?" "Sure can." He goes over to his copier. He hands me the fresh copied results. "Thank you, Doctor." I said shaking his hand. "You're welcome." I left out of the office and got into my car. I was so pissed off. I pitch a fit behind the wheel. I banged my hands on the stairing wheel and rested my head on it. I felt used and discusted with myself. I can't believe Josie would do this to me. The question is why did she do this? I thought we had an understanding.

~Diana~

I was sitting on the couch rocking the baby to sleep. I can't believe Robert slept with Josie. He says nothing happened. If you had to much to drink then yes you forget and things happen. I want to believe him yet, the betrayal weight to much on me. I had just put Xavier in bed when I get a knock at the door. I opened it and there stood Josie. Just the woman I wanted to see. "Hi, Diana. Can we talk?" she asked politely. "Yeah, come on." I replied. She comes in and I led her into the kitchen. "Would you like some tea?" I asked. "Yes, please." I filled up the kettle up with water and set it on the stove. I sat there fixing the cups up in silence. "Diana, the reason why I came here is to talk about what happened in New York." "Robert mentioned it earlier." "Is he here?" "No, he had to leave to the doctor's office." "Oh. I'm really sorry for what happened between us. We just had way to much to drink." "He said he only had two drinks." "That's not true. He had seven scotches that night." "He swears nothing happened." "It did. I wasn't as drunk as he was. I was buzzed." "This is crazy. I don't know what to believe." The kettle went off and I poured the water into the cups. "Do you want sugar?" I asked placing it in front of her. "No, I'm fine." she replied smiling at me. "Diana, in your heart do you believe what Robert told you?" continued Josie. "I do. Right when he got home he was straight foward. In my mind, it's different." I sighed. It grew quiet between us. "I think I'll take that sugar now and some cream." said Josie smiling at me. I got up and went to the cabniet taking the sugar out. I took the milk from the fridge. I place them in front of her as she smiled me. I drank my tea giving her a smile in return.

~Robert~

I finally arrived home. I walked inside and yelled for Diana. No answer. I went into the kitchen to see Diana laying on the floor face down. I kneeled down to her. Her face was pale. "Diana! Honey, what's wrong?" I asked smacking her cheeks. I shook her a little bit. She didn't respond. She is still breathing. I called 911 and they said they were coming. I had to leave her there to go check on my son. I picked him noticing his body felt lifeless. "Xavier." I said. I patted his cheeks maybe it would wake him up. "Xavier, Wake up!" I shouted. Nothing. Tears fell from my eyes as I held him close. He was still breathing. I heard the paramedic and I went outside. They went inside to get Diana. A female paramedic takes Xavier laying him on the front seat of the truck. She pressed her stethiscope on his chest. I seen the paramedics come out rolling down to the truck. "Hurry up! The baby's the heart rate is way to low!" shouted the female paramedic. She hands me my son. "Get in!" I got into the truck and the speed off to the hospital. We arrived and rushed inside. The nurse takes my son laying him on the bed. The plugged him up to the heart montior. The loud beep came from it showing a flat line. "NO! SAVE MY SON PLEASE!" I cried as tears fell from my eyes. A nurse asked me to leave the room. I watched from behind the glass window of the room as they work on him. My heart was hurting so bad. I felt like I was dying. I wonder how Diana is doing? What caused this? If I lose them I'm going with them.

*One hour earlier*

~Josie~

I sat there finishing my tea as I seen Diana laying there on the floor. "I'm sorry it had to come to this. You should have believed me." I said. I got up and washed my cup. I dried it placing it back in the cabinet. I placed the towel back neatly. I knelt down to her shaking my head. "I forgot to tell you. Francis sends you his best wishes." I walked away and up the stairs. I sauntered over to Xavier's crib. He was laying there smiling and kicking his feet. I picked him up smiling down at him. I walked around the room rocking him in my arms. "Oh, little Xavier. I'm sorry to have to do this. I would keep around and be your new mommy. But, I don't like kids." I jabbed him in the leg with the needle. He cried as I pushed the full dose into him. I laid him back in his crib. His eyes closed. I walked out of the room and down the stairs. I picked up my purse placing the surenge into a plastic bag placing it into my purse. I opened the door letting out a sigh in Diana's direction. Round Two ruined. But, Round 3. Completed." I closed the door behind me and made a call walking back to my house.

Francis: Josie, how's it going?

Josie: Things just changed. Round Two failed so I had to move into Round Three.

Francis: She didn't believe you did she?

Josie: No. Robert headed off to get a drug test done. I told her everything but she says, in her heart she believes him.

Francis: Fuck! Well keep me posted. I need the those two dead.

Josie: Don't worry. They will never know what's killing them.
