North-

"I've always wanted to be a teacher," Ridge says, handing me my oreo hot chocolate. I shiver, cheeks flushing from the cold fall air as we cross the street.

"No, you didn't," I scoff.

"Yeah I did,"

"Besides the fact that you are Ridge Monroe, you can't know that you wanted to be a teacher because you forgot your whole life,"

"Well, yeah, but when I thought about being a teacher...I don't know...it just felt like it's what I wanted...it felt right,"

He's actually serious, I stop walking on the sidewalk, facing him. "You...Ridge Monroe...a teacher?"

Ridge shrugs, stirring his coffee. "I like the thought, you know?"

"But you're...you're Ridge," I stammer, seriously confused.

He glares at me. "So what? What's the supposed to mean?"

Does he really need explaining? A dickwad, a jerk, an unfeeling, lying son of a bitch with no aspirations because he already has the money, a manwhore, a dickwad.

Didn't I already say dickwad? Huh.

"You know I can actually see it now, with you making out with the senior girls at age forty, it'll suit you well," I say, shrugging. He shakes his head, walking ahead of me. Is he seriously going to act all angry? It's not like he doesn't how he actually is.

"Hey, wait," I say laughing, hurrying up to catch up to him. "What's your problem?" I demand.

He whirls around to face me, jaw clenched. "Is that seriously how you see me? A dickwad, a man-whore with no aspirations because his daddy already has all the money?"

Oops, had I said those things out loud?

From his irritated expression, yes, I had. But so what? It's not like my opinion matters.

"Well..." I trail off, grimacing. "See the thing is..."

"Unbelievable," he growls, slamming a hand on the tree trunk behind me, caging me in.

"What on earth is the matter with you?"

"I tell you something I really want to do, something I really care about and like, and you completely insult me like that, what is the matter with you?"

"What?" I manage to croak out.

His eyes return to their usual light green, locking me out again. He shakes his head, moving away from me. "Nothing, just...just forget it North,"

And then he walks away, leaving me confused.

Where is the asshole Ridge I know?
