Song: Bad Bitch by Bebe Rexha ft, Ty Dolla Sign

North-

"You know I don't really see why you're going through all this trouble when it won't end in a bed, if this is your way of convincing me you'll be a good lay you can fuck off,"I say as we walk out into the parking lot.

He flashes me a dimpled smile that would have most girls swoon. "I won't try anything, I promise, and believe it or not, not every male you encounter is going to be an ass,"

"Don't spout wisdom unless you have proof," I snap back and he chuckles as he continues walking.

"I have to get my Harley back home, how about I follow you?"

"Whatever you say, princess,"

"Call me that again I'll end you,"

"I don't doubt you will, follow me?"

"Fine,"

The ride to whatever shit place he's taking me is peaceful enough, me behind him on my Harley. I'm so concentrated in the wind ruffling my hair and blowing my cheeks I don't realize that the place he's lead me is home.

It's the most home I've ever felt anywhere. When my piece of scum father killed my bitch of a mother Caste's granny had taken me in. Both she and her grandson didn't want me with some foster family who could be worse than my parents. I'd moved out three years ago, for fear of becoming an imposition and started stripping to get my cash. At fourteen my body was that of a seventeen-year-old so it wasn't much trouble, my body still looked the same so it was good enough to get me the kind of money I need.

Caste disapproved greatly, but he knew better than to argue. I'd always wanted college and he knew it, therefore while scowling he'd agreed with me, and since I'd been sharing a two-story red-brick house with him and five others who all helped pay the rent. For once there were people who cared, and for once I felt like I could actually keep a life on this wretched planet.

There were seven people altogether. Me, Caste, Drew, Eaton, Layth, Kat, and Harlow. We're practically a family except when the boys are being stupid or perverted, at such times we make the wise decision of ignoring their existence. We were all werewolves, except for Harlow, who knew about us but was human herself

So Kay was a friend of one of the guys and they were throwing a party tonight.

Big whoop.

"Why do you look like that?" Kay says curiously standing beside me.

"Like what?"

"I don't know--condescending?"

"I live here,"

His eyebrows rise. "Oh,"

"Yeah, oh, can we go in now?"

"Sure...I guess?" he says it like a question and I lead him inside.

There's no music blaring, absolutely nothing. The lights are off.

As I unlock the doors though, the lights come on and ten million people rise, shouting "surprise" in my face. My eyes lock on Caste, who's leaning casually against the wall, grinning crookedly, I smirk.

"You didn't," I say bluntly.

"I did,"

"I hate you,"

"Well then...LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!" he shouts and the ten million whoop as the Martin Garrix begins blaring through the speakers. True party spirit.

Caste walks over to me, grinning as he slings his arm around me pulling me in for a half-hug. "Happy B-day, North,"

"Have I mentioned I hate you?" I say, not helping my grin.

"Several thousand times dearest, repeat it again and I might not give you your present,"

"Gimme,"

"Your wish is my command highness," he mutters, tossing me a package wrapped in Scooby Doo and Shaggy wrapping. I arch an eyebrow.

"What? It's the only thing I could find in the cabinet,"

"Lovely," I mutter, tearing off the wrapping while Caste grimaces and I smirk, he probably worked hours on packaging it with the clear tape.

My mouth drops open. "You didn't,"

He grins. "I very much did,"

"You did not,"

"What's in your hand is proof enough,"

I look down at the Pride and Prejudice in my hands, grinning like a moron.

Kay comes by, also grinning.

"So your job was to bring me here?" I say.

"That it was,"

"Huh,"

"Why are you holding the most battered book in pretentious history?"

"This is the first edition! Do you know how impossible it is to find this thing?"

"It's old," he says flatly.

"It's beautiful," I say dreamily, stroking the cover. Both guys look at me like I'm Cher Horowitz from Clueless.

I hug Caste around his middle while he chuckles, patting my head. "Thank you,"

"You owe me for life,"

"How did you even get this?"

"Parent's Library,"

"Ahh,"

Caste comes from old money, but his parents are intolerable so when he was younger he escaped to his grandma's place. Now having moved out four years ago and got his own separate life, he usually wants nothing to do with his parents. Hence the book being such a big deal.

"So you crossed oceans,"I mock.

"That I did, you owe me,"

"Aww," I grin, pinching his nose. "You bet I do,"

"Just don't do that again, and we're even,"

"Okay, where is the ice cream?"

"Where does one usually store ice cream?"

"Gotchya,"

***

I'm sorry this was short chapter, I am currently mixing chocolate cake batter and writing this so...yeah. The next chapter will be long and it might be Ridge's point of view+ North's. :)

What do you think of Caste and Kay? Lemme know.

Laters,

Reagan
