I grin. "We're going to Yale," I say, holding up our acceptance letters.
"What if we're not good enough, huh?" North says, flopping on my bed.
"We're going to Yale," I grin,
"I mean, maybe they could even kick us out,"
"We're going to Yale,"
"I got the memo!" she scowls. Then she starts smiling. "We really are, aren't we,"
"Yep, I love you,"
"Good, I love you too,"
My phone rings. "Yello?" I say, answering dad.
"Um....you should really get down here," the smile in his voice is unmistakable. I frown.
"Why?"
"Get down here, Monroe, you just...get down here,"
"Okay, Dad,"
"We should get downstairs, Dad wants us for some reason,"
North frowns. "Everything okay?"
"He was smiling, so I think so? Let's go,"
What we see downstairs is not what we were expecting. Mom is sobbing, but the tears flowing down her cheeks are clearly happy tears, because she's smiling softly. Oh, also she's clutching a thin but gorgeous girl, who has a neon pink french braid and electric blue eyes. The girl has her head on momma's shoulder, lips parted in...I'm not sure what. Shock, maybe? Or...yeah I don't know.
I freeze. That face is identical to...
"What's going on?" Dylan grumbles, still in his boxers. "It's two in the morning,"
"Yeah," Cayne agrees and then he glances at mom, and then at the girl, Recognition flares in his eyes. "Holy motherfucking--"
"What's going on?" Jack grumbles, pulling a shirt over his chest as he pounds downstairs, a yawning Tate behind him.
"Jill, meet Cayne, Jack, Dylan, Ridge, North, Ridge's mate, and Tate, Jack's mate,"
Jill waves vaguely at them, seemingly analyzing something in her head.
"Guys, meet your sister-- your twin Jack--Jill Monroe,"
